KOKOkim School Idol Collection

Tuesday, March 24, 2015

Hello, lovelies! As you might know I love KOKOkim but I haven't checked them out for a while since I didn't know that they changed their website to kokokim.co.jp (previously kokokim.jp). They got lots of new things since I last checked and their school idol collection especially caught my attention.

School Idol ジャケット/Jacket in Lavender, Pink & Navy

School Idol スカート/Skirt in Lavender, Pink & Navy

School Idol Blouse/ブラウス in Off White, Pink & Black

To be honest, I wouldn't wear any of this myself even though I really like all of it. I used to love to wear things like these, but as time went by I've changed my style and I just don't feel comfortable wearing things like these anymore. It doesn't suit my personal style at all. However, like I said I still love cute outfits like these and if I knew anyone that wears this kind of style I would insist and make them wear it, haha~ What do you think? Would you add this to your wardrobe? Feel free to let me know in the comments.
Thank for reading and bye for now, lovelies!

Etude House Mini Haul and Testerkorea.com

Sunday, March 22, 2015

Hi, lovelies! I recently received an order I placed at Testerkorea.com a little while back. I got myself some eyeshadows and Makeup Brushes from Etude House. These are the things I got:

Look At My Eyes Cafe 402 & 406 and Look At My Eyes Jewel 408

My Beauty Tool Brush 121, 311, 110 & 312
I absolutely love every single one of these products and I will do a detailed review on each one of them in the nearest future, but for now I want to talk a little more about my first experience of shopping from Testerkorea.com

My experience with TesterKorea.com
I found out about TesterKorea through another blogger and checked them out. Their prices are very good, especially since they even give their members a 30% discount on a lot of products including a lot of other discounts. Not only do they have a huge variety of products, but I noticed that they also frequently add many of the latest products from various brands. Their shipping rates are very reasonable and the delivery is also quite fast. After only finding out positive things about them I decided to place an order.

After placing my order, I didn't get any sort of order confirmation which I thought was a little strange, but I still waited for a little longer just in case. After about a week, I sent them a mail asking about my order and they told me that my order must have been missed in the system. They responded very quickly and were kind enough offering me to send my order with EMS instead of the slower shipping option I had previously chosen. I really appreciate good customer service and I was very happy with their service since they even offered me a better shipping option. Testerkorea seems to be a very reliable company and I will definitely buy from their shop again.

[Review/Overview] Etude House Princess Makeup Table

Friday, March 20, 2015

Hi, lovelies! I finally got the Etude House Princess Makeup Table that I had been wanting to get for such a long time. This will be a brief Overview/Review where I will be talking about its functions, what I like and what I don't like about it.

The box this comes in is just too cute. The design is just so pretty, and you could even "pop out" the little ribbons on top of it, probably so you could use it as a handle if you buy it in a physical store. Recently I feel like the ETUDE HOUSE's packaging is prettier than the actual product inside of it, haha. All of the separate pieces of the Makeup Table were neatly wrapped in protective plastic.

I was also a bit surprised by the big size of the box, and I later noticed that the Makeup Itself also was a lot bigger than I thought it would be.

Even the instructions have a very cute design, hah... The instructions were all in Korean but even though I don't understand what it says, the pictures made it very easy to follow and understand how to put the Makeup Table together.

A "Special Glue" and Tape Stickers are included. I actually tried to put it together without using the glue since I wanted to be able to take it apart easily if I wanted to, but it turned out to be very unstable so I had to use the glue after all. It also said that you can use the Tape Stickers for additional sturdiness too, but I didn't use it since I didn't think it was necessary. The glue did the job! Just pay some extra attention when you use the glue since it's very runny and dries very quickly (It's identical to nail glue). Anyhow, like I said it's really easy to follow the instructions so anyone will be able to put it together very quickly without any problems.

The overall design of this Makeup Table is so pretty and the shape of it looks very unique to me. The detailing at the very bottom and the rounded edges of the shelves are very nice touches. I especially like the part at the top of everything which is a good place to put "long" products like BB Creams or products that can't really stand by themselves.

A useful function I noticed when first putting it together was that there are several "holes" which are located at different heights. You can customize the shelves (almost) however you like which is actually very useful. This allows you to to actually fit the products you have more easily despite the size and you won't be as restricted as you would have been if there was only one position to put the shelves in, if that makes any sense. The shelves also have a slightly elevated edge which will keep the products you put there from falling off.

Another thing I noticed, which probably is my favorite feature, is that you can rotate it! It has a this circle thingy at the bottom which allows you to rotate the Makeup Table easily without the Makeup Table itself sliding all over the place. It's very neat! It doesn't sound that fancy but I actually really like this feature. It's something that I haven't seen in any other kind of storage objects before.

I really like this Makeup Table and I'm so happy to finally have it. However, there are just a couple of things which kinda bugged me that I want to mention. First of all, I just feel like the space inside of the shelves is a bit awkward. Some of the products I have fill up the spaces perfectly thanks to the adjustable shelves, but most of the time it just looks like there is way too much space and too little product. I will eventually make another post to show you what it looks like, but for now you can search for other bloggers' reviews and look at their pictures. You will probably understand what I mean.

Secondly, a very small but a little disappointing detail was the color. I really like pink with cool undertones, almost lavender. But as you can see, the color of the Makeup Table is more Salmon/Peach-colored (And the salmon tone is even more prominent in real life). It simply has a more warm pink tone to it than I thought it would have.

These things really aren't that big of a deal to me, but I still felt like it would be good to mention since there are probably other people who might be slightly bothered by details like these. However, In the end I really don't mind these things since this Makeup Table still is so damn pretty! So, what do you think? Would you get it? Or if you already have it, what do you think of it? Feel free to let me know in the comments!

New Display Shelf

Monday, March 16, 2015

Hello, lovelies! I was starting to run out of storage space for all of my things so I went ahead and got myself a new shelf. It actually took me quite a while to find one since I wanted a specific-looking shelf just like this one, and it was surprisingly a lot harder to find than I thought. I was even thinking about building one myself after getting so tired of looking for the one I wanted. Anyway, after looking in every possible furniture store I could think of I finally found this shelf online, however, it was only available in light brown and I really wanted it in black. But since this shelf was perfect and exactly what I was looking for I just went ahead and bought it anyway and decided to paint it black. It turned out quite nicely if I may say so myself!

So, here it is! I really like to put my favorite things on display and I finally have enough room to do so. I don't know where I got the idea but I also bought a set of small mirrors to put behind each "cube". It's kind of hard to see from afar but it creates a really nice effect. You can see it a little better in the photos I took more up-close.

SAM_5009
As you can see there's a lot of makeup, perfumes, lotions, handheld game consoles, polaroid camera, and more! The area in the lower middle part of the shelf looks kind of empty, because that's where I usually keep my camera, which I was currently using to take these photos, obviously. Hehe.

A little closer!

SAM_5066
Even closer! I just had to take another close-up shot of my perfumes. This is probably my favorite part of the shelf right now. I just love how shiny and brilliant the bottles look especially with the mirror behind it which, like I said, gives it a really nice touch. It looks even more pretty at night when it's darks and I turn on my desk-lamp to shine down on them.

Anyway, even though I prefer to keep my things on display, all of this stuff is only about 20% of all of my makeup & beauty products. The remaining 80% is still stashed in my makeup drawers and bathroom. Where/how do you like to store your things?

Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint PP501 Cherry Lavender

Thursday, March 12, 2015

Hello, lovelies! This review has been in my drafts forever and I realized that it might be time to actually post it. Etude House celebrated their 5th Anniversary about 2 years ago and they released two new colors of their Fresh Cherry Tints during that time. One of them is the PP501 Cherry Lavender Tint which I will be reviewing for you in this post.

Packaging & Design
The packaging box is really cute. I'm not sure whether it looks the same or not since I got mine during their 5th Anniversary. It's already been a long time since then and the packaging might have changed, but I'm sure it still looks cute. The lip tint itself has a really simple and clean look to it.

One of the things I really like about this lip tint is that the bristles of the brush applicator are so soft and feel very gentle on the lips.

Color
The color of this tint is called Lavender, but I would say that it's more like a grape-color; a deep pink with a cool tone in it. It didn't really give me the color I was hoping for when applying it on my bare lips. It's very similar to my natural lip color which is great if I want a more natural look, but when I applied it after applying concealer on my lips first the color turned out really pretty and vibrant. It also leaves my lips looking shiny and healthy which is really nice.

Scent
Out of all the lip products I have tried so far, this one definitely has the nicest scent. Like the name suggests, it smells like cherries. It's a very sweet and fresh scent and I absolutely love it.

Formula
The formula feels quite thick and creamy at first but it's very light on the lips once it has settled. Etude House's lip tints are really great since they make my lips feel very moisturized, especially compared to some other lip tints I've tried from other brands which left my lips feeling really dry.

Lastability
I don't know if it's because the color isn't very opaque to begin with or not, but I think the color doesn't last very long and fades quite fast. However, I actually prefer using a gentle lip tint like this that I have to reapply a few times rather than using a lip tint that has a opaque color and lasts a long time but makes my lips feel dry instead.

Overall
Even though it was a long time since Etude's 5th anniversary these lip tints are still for sale and you can easily get them online for a good price. I don't use lip tints that much but this is definitely my favorite lip tint and actually the only one I really like out of all the lip tints I've tried. When it comes to lip tints, lipsticks, etc. I always prefer the purple/lavender or pink ones with cool/blueish tones. It comes in a few other popular colors and it's definitely worth trying out if you're looking for a good lip tint that is gentle on your lips. Which is your favorite lip tint and why?

MA*RS Accessory Set [For Sale]

Tuesday, March 3, 2015

Hi, lovelies! I previously mentioned this MA*RS Accessory set when I made a post about the Black & Pink Nails I did to match the set. I bought these for myself quite a while ago but never ended up using any of them at all. All of these matching accessories are incredibly gorgeous but It would be a shame to just have them without actually using them, so I decided to put them up for sale in my store

The set includes 1 big bow, 2 wrist cuffs and 1 garter. I was thinking about selling them separately first but I realized that they are better off if they're sold together as a set.

Feel free to check out this set which is only one of the many other items (both pre-loved and brand new) that I have for sale in my online store.
Thanks for reading and bye for now, lovelies!
