EstherlovesChuu season.5

Thursday, November 16, 2017

Hello, dreamers! Chuu is back with another collaboration with Estherlovesyou, which is called EstherlovesChuu season.5. You can check it out at chuu.co.kr

I already have so many things from Chuu but I just can't get enough of it. Like I said so many times, it is literally my favourite brand of all time. This time, I will get the Lovely Ribbon MTM in Purple, the Patch cap (Haven't decided on the color yet), the Striped Knit and one of the phone cases.

I know that I said in some of my previous posts that I will do a haul on all of the things I bought from Chuu, but I've always post-poned it because new collections kept coming out and I've also been in the middle of exams and moving. I'm done with all of that now tho, so after I get the items from this collection I will definitely start doing some videos, but at this point I think I'll just do a collection or showcase video instead.

Anyway, you should definitely check out their new collection at chuu.co.kr

[Review] PrincessPinky Cloudy Green (on Green Eyes)

Wednesday, November 1, 2017

Hello, dreamers! I'm back with another review of a pair of gorgeous circle lenses from Pinkyparadise.com! First of all, let's look at the pictures. I'll give you some short overviews of the  lenses along the way and finally I'll tell you about my more personal and overall thoughts of these lenses. Let's go!

Packaging
As always, Pinkyparadise sent me a very carefully and safely wrapped package containing all of the things in the picture above. Including a pair of lenses, I also got a cute animal lens case, a couple of hair velcro thingys (I still don't know what they're called, haha), and for the first time ever I also got a set of really cute and useful stickers. Let's take a closer look at the lenses.

Lens Information
Brand: Princess Pinky (Dueba/Barbie)
Origin: South Korea
Diameter: 14.5mm
Water Content: 38%
Base Curve: 8.6mm
Life Span: Yearly

Color & Design
The design of these lenses is very soft which makes them blend in perfectly with the natural eye color. Like the name suggests, they look kind of cloudy. The color is a subtle and light olive green which I absolutely love because most green lenses I've seen are either a dark forest green or bright spring green, which in my opinion can look quite unnatural. They have a nice and subtle limbal ring which is a darker olive green color. In addition to all of this, They are also quite opaque so they won't look a lot darker even if you're eyes are a darker color. To keep it simple, both the color and design looks very natural and it probably doesn't matter what eye color you have if you want to use these lenses.

With both lenses

Side glance

Enlargement & Comfort
The enlarging effect is surprisingly good! They don't have the same big and dolly eye effect that dark lenses or lenses with a darker limbal ring have, but the enlarging effect of these is really great.

They are also quite comfortable. I can wear them all day without experiencing any discomfort or dryness. There's pretty much not any difference compared to other lenses that I've tried when it comes to the comfort.

Overall
I have naturally green/hazel(ish?) eyes, but I've always been looking for a pair of green lenses that would make my eyes look bigger and brighter in a natural way. My previously favourite green lenses were the Vassen Rainbow Eyes Light Greenish and Super Pinky Green; I still really like them but they are a bit smaller and darker than I would like them to be, respectively.

I was so excited to try out these lenses because they looked perfect to me, and I'm happy to say that that's exactly what they are. The color is a beautiful subtle green which was the most important to me. Like I mentioned before, the coverage is really great which allows my eyes to look a lot lighter and more vibrant than they are, while the design also makes them blend in really well into my natural eye color. These lenses are everything that I ever wanted in a pair of lenses!

At last but not least, here's a selfie for ya'll! I took this selfie on a different occasion than when I took the close-up pictures and also with my iPhone instead of my camera, so the color and quality might look a little bit different. I would say that the color looks the most true to what it is in real life like looks in this picture.

I want to give a big thanks to Pinkyparadise for the opportunity to try out these lenses, because they are officially my favourite lenses of all time. Click here to get a pair of your own!

I hope you enjoyed this review! Thank you so much for reading. Bye for now, dreamers!

Pink Café - Chuu meets W♡C

Monday, October 9, 2017

Hello, dreamers! In one of my last posts, I was talking a bit about chuu and one of their most recent collections called Midnight land. I also mentioned that I've been waiting for one of their collaboration collections with W♡C called Pink Café; It was finally released at the end of last month so of course I headed right over to their store in Hongdae to grab the items I've been wanting to buy for such a long time (I only waited for about a month but it felt like forever). I'm gonna do a proper haul post to show you all of the things I got, including items from their other collections, and I would also like to do a video. I really bought a lot of stuff tho so I'm currently trying to decide wether or not I should split it all into two parts. We'll see how I deal with that! Anyhow, for now I want to show you the concept photos from the Pink Café collection so you get the idea of what to expect in my haul post.

The items in this collection that immediately caught my eye was the striped sweater and the matching cap with a ribbon at the back. I fell in love with that outfit in particular as soon as I saw it then I realised that I actually really like every single item in this collection. I just love the concept and design of this whole collection. I hope you like it too! You can see many more pictures over at chuu's website - click the link to check it out!

Thank you so much for reading. Bye for now, dreamers~

Midnight Land - Lee Gong x Chuu / 츄 x 이공

Hello, dreamers! Chuu is currently my favourite clothing brand ever! I haven't made a post about this brand before because I didn't discover it until quite recently, but I've been in love with this brand ever since I was first introduced to it. Chuu is a korean brand and they frequently do collaborations with other brands and designers. This time they made a collab with Lee Gong to create the Midnight Land Collection. I love the concept a lot!

The collection was released yesterday so I haven't had the time to head over to their store yet, and I'm also only going to get a couple of items from this collection this time because I've been waiting for another one of their collections called Pink Café (Chuu meets W.C) to be released on the 29th. So for now, I just wanted to share the news of this super cute collection and show you this look book from their website.

Etude House Look At My Eyes BK805, PP516, PP518 & PP515

Monday, September 11, 2017

Hello, dreamers! Here is a short review and swatches of 4 new eyeshadows from Etude House. I found them at one of the many Etude House stores in Myeongdong amongst many other new shades. As of now, I can't find the new shades in their online shop and they're not even available in all of the physical stores yet, but I'm guessing that they'll be more commonly available soon. In any case, they are really beautiful and I just have to show you the ones that I got. Let's take a look!

From left to right:  BK805, PP516, PP518, PP515

From left to right:  BK805, PP516, PP518, PP515

From left to right:  PP515, PP518, PP516, BK805

BK805 블랙 잭(Black Jack) - Black with Deep Purple undertones
PP516 퍼플 하이(Purple High) - Cool Purple with Pink Glitter
PP518 뉴 엠파이어(New Empire) - Ash Purple with Pink Glitter
PP515 스카프 인 퍼플(Scarf in Purple) - Shimmering Lavender

All of these eyeshadows are really pigmented and are applied very smoothly; pretty much like all of Etude House's eyeshadows. They are 3500 KRW each which is a ridiculously cheap price considering the amazing quality. This is why Etude House is my favourite brand when it comes to makeup.

I really want to use these in one of my next Makeup videos on my Youtube Channel. I know I've already done a lot of Purple and Pink looks, but I just can't help it. As usual, I'll make a post whenever I upload something new on my channel.

Thank you so much for reading. Bye for now, dreamers!

Ebichu Store in Seoul ♡ 에비츄 스토어

Sunday, September 3, 2017

Hello, dreamers! As you know, I really like cute things and characters; Korilakkuma has been my one and only favourite character for a really long time, but these days I really like Ebichu too. For those of you who don't know, Ebichu is a character from a Japanese manga (Orochuban Ebichu) which later became an Anime. It's a lesser known character compared to other popular characters; I guess it has to do with the 'adult' theme of the manga and anime itself. Surprisingly, Ebichu is actually really popular here in South Korea! Ebichu is all over Facebook, there are lots of themes and Ebichu related things for Android phones, and there are special Ebichu events in malls and even Clubs(?!) from time to time. I also found out that there is an Ebichu Store here in Seoul so I was really excited and just had to go there as soon as possible.

The Ebichu Store in Seoul is located at the Lotte World Mall in Jamsil. The Mall is huge so it's a bit tricky to find, but there are lots of maps and information desks around, so it's not hard to find if you ask about it. Anyway, me and my boyfriend had our 2nd anniversary the other day. He knows that I really like Ebichu and he knew that I was dying to go the the store, so since both the Ebichu store and one of our favourite restaurants is at the Lotte World Mall, we decided to go on a date at the mall for our Anniversary. Anyway, here are some pictures I took at the Ebichu Store!

The store is located in a section where there have a lot of character and theme stores. The Ebichu store is the first store on the right when you enter that section. The front of the store is completely open so it's impossible to miss.

These huge Ebichu figures are positioned at each side of the store. So cute~

Right next to the big Ebichu figure with the blue umbrella, there's even a small café where they sell sweets which all look like Ebichu! There are also so many cute and decorative times in and around the store.

The store is quite small, but despite the size, they actually have so much merchandise in there. They have plushies, pillows, phone cases, stationary, kitchen ware (which is the only thing I didn't take a picture of), and lots of other goodies! I honestly just wanted to get everything, but I settled with just a few things for now.

We ended up getting a Ebichu pillow, a plushie, a coin case and a set of small cups. Anyway, after we were done at the Ebichu Store, we went and had dinner at a really nice sushi restaurant, which is one of our favourite places. I had a really great day!

If you head over to my instagram, you can see a picture of the pillow and the plushie I got, lying on my bed; I didn't take a picture of the other things I got yet. They actually recently started selling a really cute Ebichu plushie dressed in a bunny costume which I really wanna get, so I'll definitely go back there soon and show you all of the Ebichu stuff I have. You can head over to the Ebichu online store to see all of the merchandise they're selling.

[Review] Princess Pinky Twilight Reborn Blue

Wednesday, August 16, 2017

Hello, dreamers! I'm back with another review on a pair of lenses from PinkyParadise.com. I've been really bad at updating my blog these days (Sorry about that!) so I'm really happy to be back with a new review for PinkyParadise. Let's take a closer look at these bad boys!

Lens Information
Brand: Princess Pinky
Diameter: 14.5mm
Water Content: 38%
Base Curve: 8.6mm
Life Span: Yearly
What's Inside: One pair of lenses and one macaron lens case

PinkParadise's Description: 'The most Vivid and Comfortable Twilight contacts ever, a great improvement from the predecessor! After the popular request by our customer, we have improved the Twilight lens Comfort level, to enhance your twilight moment!

This lens is so vivid, it appear like glowing, with your eyes brighten up instantaneously. A high definition color if you like.

A ring of electric color, it doesn’t covered your iris completely, but encircle with a seemingly glowing effect. The color is sharp to create a wild sensation, while the limbal ring provide a slight enlargement. In short, your iris is highlighted with the fancy color of your choice.

Twilight Reborn is an A-list item for attention, you can simply wear it and be in the spotlight! You’ll reincarnate with wildness and flamboyance, who can ignore your presence? Try wear it for party or night out, and count how many people are in awe of you, probably you’ll lost count. Cosplay with any character that you like, it’s wild and it’s the catchiest thing that you can have. You are becoming who you want to be, by immersing yourself in all your possible fantasy!

For Princess Pinky Twilight Reborn, your eyes ‘does’ speak!'"

With Ring Light & Camera Flash

 With Low Lighting

Color & Design: These are 3-colored lenses with a dark limbal ring, a bright blue (almost neon) middle part and a nice hazel color in the inner part which actually blends in perfectly with my natural eye color. The design is very pretty and interesting; it gives the eyes a crystalline effect and really makes your eyes 'pop'.

Enlargement: The enlarging effect is very small, if there's any at all. They are indeed 14.5mm, but the outer edge is just clear and the coloured part of the lenses don't actually go outside of my natural iris. I personally like big lenses, but these lenses might be suitable for those who just want a pop of color without the enlargement.

Comfort: They are pretty comfortable. I can't feel that I'm wearing any lenses at all until after a few hours when my eyes start to get dry. Honestly, I don't really feel a big difference when it comes to lenses and their comfort these days. The only positive thing for me is how long I can wear a pair of lenses without my eyes getting dry, but well, I do have lenses that I can wear longer than these.

Overall: The design and color is very pretty and vibrant; it definitely makes your eyes 'pop'. The only thing I'm a bit disappointed about is that they are so small. I actually realised that I should've gotten them in green or brown instead because I think they would have looked better on my hazel eyes.

Burgundy Makeup ☾ 버건디 메이크업

Saturday, June 10, 2017

Hello, dreamers! I'm back with yet another makeup video. I dyed my hair a burgundy color the other day (best hair dye I've used so far, by the way. I'll talk about that in another post). So I wanted to create a look to go with my hair. I actually got a beautiful Burgundy eyeshadow from Etude House quite some time ago but I never used it until now. I'm so glad I got a opportunity to use it and I'll definitely start using it more. Don't know why I didn't before! Take a look at my video below~

Anyway, this look is more of a party look because it's quite dramatic, sultry and a bit vampy. I really like it! I definitely wanna wear this the next time I go out and slay with my girlfriends. By the way, I was gonna do a voiceover for this video because it has been requested, but I suddenly ran out of time and ended up not doing it. I upload to my channel pretty randomly but I'm trying to upload a video once or twice a week. On top of that I also go to school and recently started dancing. It's a bit overwhelming for my lazy self, haha. Anyway, Let me know what you would like to see next! And would you like to hear me doing a voiceover on me next video?

Thank you so much for reading and watching. Your support means a lot to me! See you next time~

[Review] Etude House Cashmere Fit Eyeshadow [리뷰] 에뛰드 캐시미어 핏 아이즈

Friday, June 9, 2017

Hello, dreamers! I'm back with another review of one of Etude House NEW eyeshadow collections, Cashmere Fit Eyes! They also launched a collection called Satin Fit Eyes, but for now I'll show you my favourite colors from the Cashmere Fit collection. Let's take a look!

In the pictures above are all of the eyeshadows in the new Cashmere Fit Eyes Collection. The ones I got are the following:

From left to right: BK801 Long Black / 롱 블랙, BR408 Lungo Grande / 룽고 그란데, BR407 Espresso Con Panna / 에스프레소 콘파냐, BR406 Mocha Port / 모카 포트, PP501 Purple Kakao Latte / 퍼플 카카오 라떼, BE101 Flat White / 플랫 화이트

First of all I want to say that I'm actually a big fan of the sleek and simple design. Their original heart-engraved design is really cute, but it's nice to see a clean design like this too.

Swatches on the back of my hand:

The texture of the eyeshadows is really fine and smooth and they are also really pigmented. I really have to say that I've been looking for a good and pigmented black eyeshadow in my price-range for a really long time and I absolutely lost my shit when I saw that Etude House finally has a solid black eyeshadow which came with this new collection.

Overall, I think these eyeshadows are great to create natural and nude looks. The colors that come in both warm and cool tones are really pretty and suit a lot of skin tones. My favourites are the BK801 and the BR407. I really recommend them if you're looking for some amazing nude eyeshadows.

The thing I like the most about all of Etude House's eyeshadow is that their quality just as amazing as any expensive brand eyeshadow out there, but at a much lower price. These ones in particular are only 5,500KRW each!

On my Youtube Channel, I also posted a video where I created a soft and smokey eye makeup look using all of the eyeshadows that I got from this collection. Check it out!

Thank you so so much for reading and watching! Your support means a lot to me! Bye for now, dreamers!

[Review] eZn Real Milk Hair Colour Pastel Purple [리뷰] 리얼 밀크 헤어컬러 파스텔 퍼플

Thursday, May 25, 2017

Hi, dreamers! I'm back with a review of another purple hair dye. I previously tried and loved the eZn Shaking Pudding Hair Color in Smoky Lavender which gave me a really pretty result but it unfortunately only lasted a couple of washes before it faded. This time, I'm trying the eZn Real Milk Hair Colour in Pastel Purple. Like the Shaking pudding hair dye, this dye comes in a lot of natural colors as well as a decent selection of vivid and pastel colors. The packaging is super cute too! Even the bottle and tube look really cute and fit the milk theme really well.

Based on the color chart at the side of the box, this hair dye will supposedly dye both virgin hair and bleached hair to a quite strong purple color. Most hair dyes that I've tried usually only stick to either my bleached hair or my roots - it never gets dyed equally. So I'm pretty excited that this hair color seems to dye both bleached/dyed hair and un-dyed hair.

This dye includes 1 tube of color cream, 1 bottle of dyeing agent, 1 plastic 'gown' to cover yourself and your clothes, 1 pair of gloves, a bonding hair pack, and of course, instructions. The instructions are really easy to follow even if you can't read korean, because of the clear and simple illustrations for each step. In any case, I'll explain the dyeing process briefly anyway.

First of all, be careful not to get any of the hair dye on your floor or furniture, because it will most likely stain. Prepare by covering your clothes with the plastic gown and put on your gloves. Make sure your hair is dry before starting the application.

Tip! The best time to dye your hair is when it's dirty/oily. If you wash your hair right before dyeing it, you're removing the natural oils from you hair which protects it, and by removing all the natural oils your hair will also become squeaky clean and 'slippery' which means that the hair dye won't stick to your hair as well as on dirty hair. However, be sure that you don't have any hair products in your hair, such as serum, leave-in conditioner, hair spray etc. If you do, just wash your hair and wait a few days before dyeing. But, if you really can't wait to dye your hair, just brush your hair thoroughly to remove any excess hair product.

When I was all set, I started applying the hair dye at the back of my head and worked my way up as the instructions suggested. After covering my roots I started applying it to the rest of my hair and then combed it through carefully. I let it sit for a little more than 30 minutes. I then rinsed it thoroughly with lukewarm water and applied the conditioner which I let sit for about 5 minutes before I rinsed everything out. Here is the result!

Here's the video of me dyeing my hair with this hair dye, where you can see the before and after more clearly.

Unfortunately, yet again it didn't dye the ends of my hair into a purple color, but rather a (really pretty) grey color. I guess the ends of my hair are just totally messed up, haha. However, the result is really gorgeous! I basically now have deep purple roots and grey ends. The result it gave me is actually quite similar to the eZn Shaking Pudding Hair Color in Smoky Lavender, except that this dye gives a more strong and deep purple color. I will definitely keep using this color. The only reason I choose this one over the Pudding Hair Dye is that it gives a stronger color which means that it'll probably last a bit longer.

In any case, I actually really like the ombre look I ended up with, but I might try to touch up my ends with my Directions Hair dye in Violet which usually only sticks to my bleached hair and not my roots. We will see! In any case I will make an update about the result on here.

Thank you so much for reading. Let me know what you think! Bye for now, dreamers~

Studying Korean at an Academy

Saturday, May 13, 2017

Hello, dreamers! I'm really sorry for the lack of posts lately, but I have my reasons. First of all, my ring light broke (again), and I finally got a new one so I can start taking pictures and create posts and videos again. I can't wait!

Second of all, I've started to study Korean at an Korean Language Academy in Seoul. The Academy's name is literally just Seoul Korean Language Academy and they have 2 campuses, 1 in Gangnam, which is the one I go to, and 1 in Jongno. I've been living in Korea for almost 2 years now and I can't believe that I haven't studied korean at an academy up until now.

When choosing a school, I simply made a search on Google and that particular Academy was one of the many results I found.  The reason I chose this academy was simply because it looked really nice and the price was more reasonable compared to other schools. The staff and teachers are also really nice! I went to the school to register in person and take my level test right on the spot. I got into class 1C which is a bit above beginner level. I'm really happy with the level I got because at this point I can understand everything that is said in Korean but I still learn a lot of new things. Like I said, I understand Korean well, but my weak points are speaking and grammar (actually building sentences etc.), which is something we are focusing on right now, so this class is perfect for me. The books we are using right now are in the picture on the left!

My class is really small (3-4 people), but I don't mind at all. I actually think it's nice to be in a small class since the teacher can help us out more with our questions and focus on the things we need to learn as individuals.

After my first class, I felt that I really needed a notebook and some markers, so I went ahead and got myself this super cute Korilakkuma notebook at Dream Depot. The pencil case is from H&M and the pens are from Artbox. I love them!

In any case, I'm studying really hard right now, but I will definitely start blogging and making videos again. So stay tuned here on my blog and my Youtube channel! I'm also focusing on updating my Instagram more frequently. My last picture was a throwback selfie after my first day of school, so make sure to check that out as well.

Thank you so much for reading! Bye for now~

[Review] eZn Shaking Pudding Hair Color Smoky Ash Lavender 쉐이킹 푸딩 헤어커러 스모키애쉬라벤더

Thursday, May 4, 2017

Hello, dreamers~ It was time to dye my hair again, so as always, I went to Olive Young to choose a color. I decided to pick up the eZn Shaking Pudding Hair Color Smoky Ash Lavender, which is a hair color I've actually been wanting to try for a really long time, especially because it looks so cute! This is what it looks like.

After dyeing my hair gold/orange a few months earlier, my hair had faded to a pale yellow/greenish blonde with orange roots. I don't know exactly what's wrong with my hair, but half of my hair barely picks up any color and any hair dye I use fades extremely fast on the ends of my hair. It has been like this ever since I first started dyeing my hair a long time ago, no matter how much It gets cut and regrows. Anyway, I obviously hoped for a lavender color, but since my hair is so bad at picking up any hair dye, I was at least hoping to achieve a decent ash color, hopefully with some pretty lavender undertones (because purple cancels out yellow).

First of all, let's take a look what's inside the package. The box contains the pudding hair dye including 2 dyeing agents. It also comes with an after treatment, instructions, gloves, plastic ear covers and a shoulder cover. Basically everything you need.

Thanks to the pictures, the directions are very easy to follow even if you don't understand Korean.

From now on, there won't be many pictures since I had my hands full while dyeing my hair, but I'll try to explain through the process of dyeing my hair with this dye as best as I can. Here we go~

[Dyeing Process]  First of all, I put on all of my protections gear and poured the liquid from the 2 bottles into the container. You're supposed to hold the container upright and shake it from side to side. After shaking it for a few seconds, the liquid inside had turned into a pudding-like consistency which I've never seen in a hair dye before. I thought it was pretty cool, haha. I kind of regret that I didn't go out of my way to take a picture.

Now that the dye was mixed properly, I just started applying straight to my hair as you would do with any hair dye. The hair dye started developing and turning into a really bright purple immediately after applying it. After just a few minutes my hair was a very deep purple. This kind of freaked me out at first because I've had previous experiences with ash hair dyes that turn into a much darker color than I expected them to. However, I let it sit for the recommended 30 minutes anyway and washed it out as usual.

[Result] After drying my hair I was so happy to see that my hair was now a beautiful grey color with lavender roots and highlights. I was really surprised that my roots actually turned out lavender because hair dyes in this kind of color usually don't cover my darker orange (but previously bleached) roots that well.

The stubborn and damaged ends of my hair didn't pick up as much color as my healthy hair close to my roots, but it had still changed into a really pretty ash color which is the best result I've had in a while.

Here's a before and after so you can tell the difference and see the result more clearly.

This is the best Korean hair dye I have tried so far because it finally gave me a color that I absolutely love.

[Lasting Time] The only downside with his hair dye is that it fades very quickly. The color started fading after just 1 wash but it still looked nice. After 2-3 washes it still looked nice but it had faded to a pale silver. After 3-4 washes there was no lavender left at all andNow, after 1 month my hair is only a pearly silver on the roots and my ends have gone back to yellow, but it's not as orange/yellow as it was before I dyed it. If your hair is healthier and picks up color easier than mine, this hair dye will definitely give you the smoky lavender color all over you hair, instead of just close to the roots like me. So it might last longer for those with healthy hair unlike mine.

[Would I repurchase?] Like I said before, I got this hair dye at Olive Young, where they sell it for 14,500 (KRW) but I got it on sale for only 7000! At the original price it's already quite cheap, so even if the dye doesn't last that long I will definitely repurchase this hair dye again because of how much I love the result.

That's it for this post! Thank you so much for reading and bye for now, lovelies~
