[Review] Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water 300ml - [리뷰] 이니스프리 그린티 클렌징 워터 300ml

Thursday, February 23, 2017

Hello, lovelies! I ran out of my Bija Trouble Cleansing Gel which I really liked so I went to Innisfree and picked up a new one. However, I felt that the Bija Cleansing Gel and Cleansing Foam are a bit too harsh when it comes to removing the makeup around my eye area and sometimes even leaves some residue even after double-cleansing. So, I wanted to try something else to include in my makeup cleansing routine. I've never used a Cleansing water before so I really wanted to try one out. I was choosing between the Sea Salt Cleansing Water and the Green Tea Cleansing Water. I decided to go for the Green Tea Cleansing Water because the staff there thought it would be the best match for my Skin Type  (combination/trouble) . I love their Green Tea line and have reviewed and loved their products in the past, so I was more than happy with their recommendation.

What It Is
The cleansing water that completely wipes off makeup and leaves the skin hydrated with the rich moisture of freshly squeezed Jeju green tea

1. Fresh green tea water squeezed out from organically grown fresh green tea leaves is rich in amino acids and minerals that moisturize and brighten skin that's become dehydrated by cleansing.
2. This moist easily washable cleansing water works to thoroughly remove not only sunscreen and BB cream, but also light point makeup.

How To Use
Place 1 to 2 cotton pads on top of pump and gently push down to dispense cleansing water. Use wet cotton pads to wipe makeup, sebum, and debris off your face.

For heavier cleansing, follow up with a second-step cleanser (i.e. foaming cleanser). If you feel your face is very dry, wash off with only water and skip a second cleanser.

Ingredients
Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Glycerin, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Propanediol, PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Butylene Glycol, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Leaf Extract, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Citrus Tangerina (Tangerine) Extract, Citrus Unshiu Peel Extract, Opuntia Coccinellifera Fruit Extract, Orchid Extract, Camellia Japonica Leaf Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

Makeup Removing Test
This cleansing water claims to remove Sunscreen, BB Cream and light point makeup. Let's put it to the test!

From left to right: Foundation, Cream Lip Liner, Lip Tint, Eyeliner, Mascara, Eyebrow tint, and Glitter Eyeshadow.

As you can see, this cleansing water does an exceptionally good job at removing makeup. After letting the makeup set for an hour and then using the cleanser, the only thing that is left after the test is some Mascara and a tiny hint of the Cream Lip Liner (It's very faint, you can't really see it in the picture). To be fair, the Mascara is the Etude House Curl Fix Mascara which even has its own remover. That stuff is so hard to get off. In any case, I was genuinely surprised and really impressed! I have of course tried it on my face too, and works just as well as it did in this test.

When I used to do my usual double-cleansing routine with gel and foam cleanser, I just used my hands to massage it onto my face to remove my makeup, which sometimes left me with some makeup residue around my eyes. To be specific, I usually had a hard time removing glitter particles (from eyeshadow) and mascara smudges under my eyes, which would appear after trying to remove my makeup. This was really annoying because before I had this cleansing water I had to go back in with my gel or foam cleanser which was really harsh on my eye area and made my entire face look dry and dull.

However, as you can see, this cleansing water removes every bit of makeup very well (except the mascara, obviously). With the cleansing water and a cotton pad, you can remove your makeup thoroughly and it's easy to focus and remove makeup on certain parts of the face, without being harsh on the skin. After using it, my skin looks and feels super clean and moisturised - no mascara smudges or annoying little glitter particles all over my face. Yay!

Pros
 Removes makeup thoroughly
Doesn't dry out skin and keeps it moisturised
 Very gentle on the skin
Nice and subtle scent (like the rest of the green tea line)
Pump is convenient and easy to use
 Nice and simple design
A lot of product for the money

Cons
May not remove heavy makeup completely
 Slightly sticky feeling after use

Conclusion
This cleansing water does a great job at removing makeup and it makes my skin feel clean while at the same making it feel moisturised. I personally always double-cleanse with a gel cleanser when removing my makeup just to make sure that every single bit of makeup and dirt is removed, and even after following up with a second-step cleanser after using the cleansing water my skin doesn't feel dry. This is a huge plus for me because my skin usually gets very dry after removing my makeup. One more thing about this product is that it might seem a little bit pricey at ₩12,000 (original price), but it's definitely worth it because it contains a frikkin' 300ml of product which is a LOT for that price compared to Innisfree's cleansing oils and gels which usually only contain 150ml and are around 18,000 (original price)!

Their cleansing oils are really amazing when it comes to removing makeup too, but this cleansing water has become my personal favourite. All in all - It is acne-friendly and suitable for my oily/combination skin, it gives me a lot of product for my money, it removes my makeup thoroughly, and at last but not least its very gentle and makes my skin feel moisturised after cleansing.

Repurchase?
As of now, yes, I will definitely repurchase this! Like I mentioned before, this is the first time I'm using a cleansing water so I'm definitely still curious about other cleansing waters, but right now I'm completely blown away and I absolutely love this cleansing water. In any case, this Cleansing Water will probably last a very long time for me so I won't have to buy a new one anytime soon.

♡ Dreamer Backpacks ♡ Where to find!

Tuesday, February 21, 2017

Hello, dreamers ♡ A long time ago, I found pictures of these Dreamer Backpacks online and fell absolutely in love with them. I love the pastel colors and the simple but cute design with the 'Dreamer' Logo. I have never seen a more perfect backpack! However, I couldn't find the backpacks for sale anywhere back then so I simply gave up and forgot about it all until I found the pictures of them again about a month ago.

So, I decided to try to hunt them down once more! I searched everywhere online and always ended up at a dead end for a while, but I finally found them on AliExpress for only $35 (and free shipping, baby). I did find it at another online shop too, but it was a bit pricier there. Needless to say, I immediately ordered one in Purple. I received it today after just 2 weeks after placing my order and I'm super happy with it! The quality is amazing and it looks exactly like it does in all of the pictures I'd seen. This is what mine looks like:

I've seen pictures of this backpack in Black and White too, but the sites I found that actually sell the backpacks only seem to have them in Purple, Pink, Blue and Mint. Not a problem for me since I obviously got the one in Purple. Again, I just have to say that I love this backpack so much and I'm so happy that I finally got one which is why I really wanted to share this with you guys.

If you want to know where to get this backpack, feel free to ask me in the comments section and I will gladly tell you!
Thanks for reading and bye for now, lovelies~

Etude House Wonder Fun Park Nail Kit #1 [Review] - 에뛰드 하우스 원더 펀 파크 네일 키트 1호 주간입장 [리뷰]

Saturday, February 18, 2017

Hello, dreamers! In this post I will be reviewing and demonstrating the Etude House Wonder Fun Park Nail Kit #1. Let's take a look!
QUICK OVERVIEW
Exciting picnic at the amusement park! Lovely nail kit decorates your nails with colourful parade.

HOW TO APPLY
1. After applying base coat, apply your desired color on the entire nail. 2. Apply two colors freely according to your preference. 3. After applying one color or two colors, attach sticker to express an exciting amusement park on your nails.

INGREDIENTS
1-1 : BUTYL ACETATE, ETHYL ACETATE, NITROCELLULOSE, ACRYLATES COPOLYMER, DIPROPYLENE GLYCOL DIBENZOATE, TITANIUM DIOXIDE(CI 77891), SILICA DIMETHYL SILYLATE , ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL, STYRENE/ACRYLATES COPOLYMER , STEARALKONIUM HECTORITE, PIGMENT BLUE 15(CI 74160), CAMPHOR, CITRIC ACID, ACETYL TRIBUTYL CITRATE , YELLOW 5 (CI 19140), OCTOCRYLENE 1-2 : BUTYL ACETATE, NITROCELLULOSE, ACRYLATES COPOLYMER, ETHYL ACETATE, POLYETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE, DIPROPYLENE GLYCOL DIBENZOATE, SILICA DIMETHYL SILYLATE , ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL, CAMPHOR, OCTOCRYLENE, CITRIC ACID, ALUMINUM POWDER(CI 77000), TITANIUM DIOXIDE(CI 77891), RED 7 (CI 15850:1), FERRIC FERROCYANIDE(CI 77510), AO 205(CI 42090)

VOLUME
Weight (g): 85
Size: 8 ml x 2 / 0.28 fl. oz. x 2

OVERVIEW
This kit includes 2 nail polishes, 1 solid color and 1 glitter/sequin type, and 1 set of super cute nail stickers. The first nail polish is a vibrant mint color. The second color is a charming mix of blue, pink and green sequins and glitter. The stickers are a mix of balloons, sweets, ponies and more.

COLOR & APPLICATION
The mint color is very opaque but still leaves a little bit of streaking (probably because of the applicator brush type) even if you use a base coat, so unless you put in some extra time and effort in your application technique, I recommend you to apply 2 thin layers of this nail polish to create a nice and even coat of color.

The second sequin/glitter color applies smoothly and easy enough, but as with all sequin/glitter type nail polishes, it can be a bit tricky to get out the chunky pieces and distribute them evenly and actually make it look the way you want it to.

The stickers are easy to use and hold up quite well. With a tweezer you can simply peel them off and apply them onto your nail. After application I like to press them down and then I apply a top coat when I'm happy with the nail.

This is the look that I created with this nail kit! It's pretty similar one to the style that Etude House shows in one of their picture, the only difference being that I used more stickers on my nails.

VIDEO DEMO

Here's a video of the process of creating the look I made with this nail kit!

CONCLUSION
This Nail Kit allows anyone to create easy but very cute nail art. The pastel colors in this kit are so cute and are especially suitable for spring. It contains all you need to take a step up from your normal everyday nail game, all the while still being fast and easy. Both nail polishes can of course be used alone, but with this nail kit there are so many possible combinations which makes it so easy to create your very own and unique nail look. I highly recommend this kit for all of my fellow lazy girls out there who still want cute nails.

I moved again! + Puppy problems!

Friday, February 10, 2017

Hello, lovelies! If you follow me on Twitter, you would know by know that I moved house again. I'm really excited because everything is starting to come together. All we have left to do is some organisation and I also want to go to IKEA to get a few pieces of new furniture. We have a home office here at our new place so I can finally set up my own little office/studio nook too. However, I haven't found my tripods yet (which are essential for setting up my camera and lighting) and on top of that, one of my puppies chewed off the magnet part of my Macbook charger so before I can do anything else I have to go and pick up a new charger too. Yay.

My puppy is fine, by the way. I can't really blame him for what happened because he (or his brother) has never even attempted to chew on chargers (or any other things like that) so I haven't really taught him that he's not allowed to do that yet. We didn't even see when it happened because my genius boyfriend thought that it was a good idea to let them out of their kennel and then go BACK TO SLEEP AND LEAVE THEM UNATTENDED. He's usually so careful and tells ME not to leave them unattended when they're outside of their kennel (which I've never even done, by the way) so I was actually really angry and confused as to why he did that. At least he agreed to buy me a new charger to make up for it.

Anyway! Just look at them in their sweaters. How can I possible be mad at them for long? Oh, and did you know? Cookie and the puppies have their very own Instagram. I actually update their Instagram more than my own these days so while I'm setting everything up, feel free to follow @cookieandfamily to at least keep up with our little pom family.

In the meantime, I also have some posts I'm currently working on and if I find my tripods I'll record some material which will be ready for editing as soon as I get my charger. We'll see if I have time to do anything else before my Macbook dies. hah.

Anyway, I have a lot of things coming up so stay tuned for that!
Thank you so much or reading and bye for now, lovelies~

Etude House Look At My Eyes Sparkling Milky Way [Review] - 에뛰드 하우스 룩 앳 마이 아이즈 스피클링 밀키웨이 [리뷰]

Monday, February 6, 2017

Hello, lovelies! In this post I'll be reviewing 4 eyeshadows from Etude House's Look At My Eyes Sparkling Milky Way collection. First, let's check out all of the colors in this eyeshadow collection.

All of the eyeshadows in this series are beautiful and sparkling (hence the name). I tried all of them at the Etude House store and the most important thing I want to mention is that they all sparkle a lot more in real life than they do in the pictures! Anyhow, the shades that I actually got are BK804 (Jewel), BR429 (Jewel), PP514 & PP512. Let's take a look!

All of these are so beautiful and the constellation prints on the cases are really cute. The BK804 looks like a hybrid of the BK803 & BK807 shades from the Melancholy Budapest Collection, and the PP512 kind of reminds me of the PK010 from that collection (Click the link to check out my review and to compare the shades in the pictures).

BK804 - A true black/dark grey with hints of very fine blue, silver and gold glitter.
BR415 - A sparkling taupe eyeshadow. It's a lot more neutral/grey in real life compared to what it looks like in the swatch on my hand.
PP514 - A muddy purple with very fine glitter and an almost metallic look.
PP512 - A pearly, pale purple with hints of very fine, blue-ish glitter. Also has an almost metallic look to it.

Verdict
As always, there's not much to say except that Etude House's eyeshadows are amazing. I might be a bit biased but I really think that the pigmantation is super nice and the jewel eyeshadows are so sparkly. They even sparkle a lot more in real life than they appear to do in the pictures. I can't pick a favorite this time and have to say that I like all of these eyeshadows equally. I think the BR415 is a really good eyeshadow to use a alone for everyday wear, and The PP514, PP512 and BK804 look really good together for a nice evening/party look.

Etude House Wonder Fun Park Haul + Free Popcorn Pouch [Haul]

Friday, February 3, 2017

Hello, lovelies! I recently posted an overview on the Etude House Wonder Fun Park line. I love this line so much, so I obviously got some things for myself. Some of the items I wanted to buy weren't in stock at the time I got these things, so I'll probably make another small haul when I got my hands on the other products I wanted! Anyway, here's a small haul of the things I got for now. Let's take a look~

From left to right: Popcorn Pouch, Candy Cheek Brush, Candy Highlighter Brush, Color Eyeshadow Brush, Nail Kit #1, Dear Darling Soda Tint PP501 and Curl Fix Mascara in Pang Pang Purple

I got this super cute Popcorn makeup pouch with my purchase. It's incredibly cute and I'm so thankful that they're giving it out for free when you purchase the products from the Wonder Fun Park line.

The pouch is quite flat and small, but it fits surprisingly many products! It's a perfect pouch to put my essential makeup in so I can take it with me in my purse.

I'm currently working on the reviews of all of these products, so stay tuned for that. I'm planning to do a review on the brushes and the nail kit first, and then I will do reviews on the mascara and Lip tint too, after I get both of their counterparts in blue/mint (I suddenly decided that I "need" them too, hah).
Thank you so much for reading and bye for now, lovelies!

Etude House Wonder Fun Park [Overview] 에뛰드 하우스 원더 펀 파크

Wednesday, February 1, 2017

Hello, lovelies! As you might know, I'm a die-hard Etude House fan. They've been posting previews on their Instagram of their latest collection called "Wonder Fun Park". It's a fun and colourful amusement park-themed collection and I just loved it from the moment I first saw it. They finally announced the "Grand Opening D-Day" of the Wonder Fun Park Collection which means that they finally released the collection in their stores. I immediately went to my local Etude House Store to check it out! I couldn't help myself and got some of the products for myself which I will review soon, but for now, let's just look at all of the products in their new and colourful line! I'm not going to go into too much detail right now, because the pictures already pretty much speak for themselves.

Warning! This will be a long post with many pictures, but I know you'll love it!

The colors in these palettes are pretty but are quite boring to me because I actually already have so many nude eyshadows from Etude House that look identical to these. I was considering to get the Palette in #1 because of the cute pastel colors in it, but unfortunately they didn't have it in stock at my local store yet.

The color combos of the blush and highlighter are really cute, both the exterior and the product itself, but they were very disappointing when I tried them out. The cheek color just turns into a boring orange and the highlighter didn't do anything at all for me. It was just very a sheer off white color with a tiny bit of shimmer in it.  I was close to getting them anyway because of the cute packaging, but I honestly didn't want to spend money on two products that I will probably never ever use. I was really sad because, like I said, I loved the packaging.

I got this lip tint in PP501 and I'll probably pick up the BL601 too just because they stand out to me the most out of the lip tints in this collection. The yellow one (OR202) looks really cool too but I don't think it's a color I would like on myself.

Again, the packaging is really amazing but the colors don't really speak to me. All of the colors are pretty but quite basic and nothing special in my opinion. However, I'm actually considering to get the PK304 and PP503 just to add some nice basic colors to my lipstick collection.

These two Mascaras are some of the few products in this collection that really stood out to me. I got this one in Purple (aka Pang Pang Purple). To be fair, It's not like I'm going to wear purple mascara everyday, but it's definitely unique and fun (especially for Korean brands) and really represents this collection well. I kind of want to get it in mint now too after seeing more pictures. The two colors just look so cute together.

Both of these Nail Kits are super pretty, but I decided to just go with the #1. I love the cute and fresh color combo and I think that it really represented the whole amusement park theme very well. I also think it will be perfect for spring! I can't wait to try it out and show it to you guys!

These eye pigments look so beautiful and I really wanted to get a couple of them, but unfortunately, they were not available at my local store yet either. However, I also wish they would have made some more fun and vibrant colors.

I already have so many perfumes and Etude House's perfumes are usually very basic and nothing special, so I wasn't really interested in this. I smelled it anyway and it was OK! It has a sweet and kind of sourish scent.

OK, I know I said I wasn't going to go into much detail in this post but I just need to TALK ABOUT THESE BRUSHES real quick (I'm sure nobody will see this anyway because it will be lost amongst all of the pictures, haha). Anyway, these 3 brushes were the very first thing I put in my shopping basket at the store. The funny thing is that I was about to buy a set of Unicorn Makeup Brushes (which have been all the rage lately) before I went to Etude and these brushes reminded me a lot of them. I'll probably still get the Unicorn brushes (because the handles look like unicorn horns, duh) at a later time, but for now I'll settle for these brushes because they are equally pretty in my opinion.

Boooring! These are way too small and short for my taste but they might be liked be others because they are so subtle and natural-looking. In any case, Etude House already has 2 pairs of lashes in their basic line that are a few of my absolute favourites so I'm content with those right now.

I've never used Hair mist in my entire life so even though I knew this excited I completely forgot about it when browsing through the store. I'll at least give it a sniff next time. Who knows, maybe I'll love it and become a hair mist enthusiast after that.

LOOKS
Not to be rude, but to my surprise the "Signature Looks" they created for this line are incredibly boring compared to the fun and colourful products. I can't wait to create my own looks with the things I got!

My First Impression
The first thing that caught my eye in this line was obviously the incredibly pretty color scheme! I really (I mean really) like pastel color combinations such as pink & blue, purple & mint, etc. However, I was actually not very impressed by some of the colors of the actual products. Don't get me wrong though - All of the colors are beautiful, but some of them are just not for me and I think some of them are even a bit boring, like I said before, compared to the external look of the products.

What I got
I mentioned under the pictures of the products which things I got, but in case you missed it, I'm going to repeat it for you so you'll know what I have in store for my next reviews (and maybe videos?). This is what I got for now: All 3 Candy brushes, Dear Darling Soda Pink PP501, The Nail Kit in #1 주간입장 and the Curl Fix Mascara in Pang Pang Purple.

I really wanted to get a couple of the glitter pigments and was also tempted to get 1 of the eyeshadow palettes, but like I said, they weren't in stock yet the last time I was at Etude House last. I'm also considering to get at least 1 of the lipsticks and 1 more lipgloss. I will definitely head back and pick up more products from this line as soon as possible!

I will probably review the Nail Kit first and then the makeup brushes (and maybe even a video!), so don't forget to follow my blog and Youtube so you don't miss out on any of that.

In any case, I am absolutely in love with the concept! What do you think of Etude House's new Wonder Fun Park Line? Please, let me know in the comments!

Thank you so much for reading and bye for now, lovelies~
