[Review] Innisfree Green Tea Cleansing Water 300ml - [리뷰] 이니스프리 그린티 클렌징 워터 300ml

Thursday, February 23, 2017

Hello, lovelies! I ran out of my Bija Trouble Cleansing Gel which I really liked so I went to Innisfree and picked up a new one. However, I felt that the Bija Cleansing Gel and Cleansing Foam are a bit too harsh when it comes to removing the makeup around my eye area and sometimes even leaves some residue even after double-cleansing. So, I wanted to try something else to include in my makeup cleansing routine. I've never used a Cleansing water before so I really wanted to try one out. I was choosing between the Sea Salt Cleansing Water and the Green Tea Cleansing Water. I decided to go for the Green Tea Cleansing Water because the staff there thought it would be the best match for my Skin Type  (combination/trouble) . I love their Green Tea line and have reviewed and loved their products in the past, so I was more than happy with their recommendation.

What It Is
The cleansing water that completely wipes off makeup and leaves the skin hydrated with the rich moisture of freshly squeezed Jeju green tea

1. Fresh green tea water squeezed out from organically grown fresh green tea leaves is rich in amino acids and minerals that moisturize and brighten skin that's become dehydrated by cleansing.
2. This moist easily washable cleansing water works to thoroughly remove not only sunscreen and BB cream, but also light point makeup.

How To Use
Place 1 to 2 cotton pads on top of pump and gently push down to dispense cleansing water. Use wet cotton pads to wipe makeup, sebum, and debris off your face.

For heavier cleansing, follow up with a second-step cleanser (i.e. foaming cleanser). If you feel your face is very dry, wash off with only water and skip a second cleanser.

Ingredients
Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Glycerin, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Propanediol, PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Butylene Glycol, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Leaf Extract, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Citrus Tangerina (Tangerine) Extract, Citrus Unshiu Peel Extract, Opuntia Coccinellifera Fruit Extract, Orchid Extract, Camellia Japonica Leaf Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

Makeup Removing Test
This cleansing water claims to remove Sunscreen, BB Cream and light point makeup. Let's put it to the test!

From left to right: Foundation, Cream Lip Liner, Lip Tint, Eyeliner, Mascara, Eyebrow tint, and Glitter Eyeshadow.

As you can see, this cleansing water does an exceptionally good job at removing makeup. After letting the makeup set for an hour and then using the cleanser, the only thing that is left after the test is some Mascara and a tiny hint of the Cream Lip Liner (It's very faint, you can't really see it in the picture). To be fair, the Mascara is the Etude House Curl Fix Mascara which even has its own remover. That stuff is so hard to get off. In any case, I was genuinely surprised and really impressed! I have of course tried it on my face too, and works just as well as it did in this test.

When I used to do my usual double-cleansing routine with gel and foam cleanser, I just used my hands to massage it onto my face to remove my makeup, which sometimes left me with some makeup residue around my eyes. To be specific, I usually had a hard time removing glitter particles (from eyeshadow) and mascara smudges under my eyes, which would appear after trying to remove my makeup. This was really annoying because before I had this cleansing water I had to go back in with my gel or foam cleanser which was really harsh on my eye area and made my entire face look dry and dull.

However, as you can see, this cleansing water removes every bit of makeup very well (except the mascara, obviously). With the cleansing water and a cotton pad, you can remove your makeup thoroughly and it's easy to focus and remove makeup on certain parts of the face, without being harsh on the skin. After using it, my skin looks and feels super clean and moisturised - no mascara smudges or annoying little glitter particles all over my face. Yay!

Pros
 Removes makeup thoroughly
Doesn't dry out skin and keeps it moisturised
 Very gentle on the skin
Nice and subtle scent (like the rest of the green tea line)
Pump is convenient and easy to use
 Nice and simple design
A lot of product for the money

Cons
May not remove heavy makeup completely
 Slightly sticky feeling after use

Conclusion
This cleansing water does a great job at removing makeup and it makes my skin feel clean while at the same making it feel moisturised. I personally always double-cleanse with a gel cleanser when removing my makeup just to make sure that every single bit of makeup and dirt is removed, and even after following up with a second-step cleanser after using the cleansing water my skin doesn't feel dry. This is a huge plus for me because my skin usually gets very dry after removing my makeup. One more thing about this product is that it might seem a little bit pricey at ₩12,000 (original price), but it's definitely worth it because it contains a frikkin' 300ml of product which is a LOT for that price compared to Innisfree's cleansing oils and gels which usually only contain 150ml and are around 18,000 (original price)!

Their cleansing oils are really amazing when it comes to removing makeup too, but this cleansing water has become my personal favourite. All in all - It is acne-friendly and suitable for my oily/combination skin, it gives me a lot of product for my money, it removes my makeup thoroughly, and at last but not least its very gentle and makes my skin feel moisturised after cleansing.

Repurchase?
As of now, yes, I will definitely repurchase this! Like I mentioned before, this is the first time I'm using a cleansing water so I'm definitely still curious about other cleansing waters, but right now I'm completely blown away and I absolutely love this cleansing water. In any case, this Cleansing Water will probably last a very long time for me so I won't have to buy a new one anytime soon.
