Hello, lovelies! (This is my 600th post! Yay!) I'm a big fan of double cleansing with oil and foam. I previously used the Innisfree Green Tea cleansing Oil which I absolutely loved but since I recently ran out of it I decided to try something new since my skin has been breaking out recently. I'm pretty sure my previously used cleansing oil doesn't have anything to do with it, but I decided to try out The bijou Trouble Cleansing Gel and Cleansing foam which targets so called 'trouble' skin aka acne, impurities etc.
bija trouble cleansing gel
First we have the bijou trouble cleansing gel. I've actually never tried a cleansing gel before so I was pretty curious about this product. It comes in a standard bottle with a pump and contains 150ml of product.
The description and directions are all written on the back of the bottle, including the complete list of ingredients for those of you who want to know exactly what it contains. Amongst others, it contains natural ingredients such as salicylic acid, panduratin and rose crystal that helps to relieve skin trouble.
This is currently the very first product I use in my daily skin care routine, followed by the facial foam. The gel is quite thick which makes it a bit hard to apply unless you use a lot. I usually have to dispense about 2-3 pumps for a smooth application.
It thoroughly removes all makeup including eye makeup and it leaves my skin super clean and fresh.
However, I don't recommend using it for removing eye makeup since it does sting a bit if it gets into your eyes and it's probably not suited for the sensitive skin around your eyes since it targets impurities and such.
It also has a slight cooling effect which is really refreshing.
bija trouble facial foam
Next we have the Bija trouble facial foam. This one comes in a simple tube which also contains 150ml of product.
Here are the directions of use and ingredients. It contains naturally derived ingredients like salicylic acid to remove dead skin cells, is enriched with torrey a seed oil from Jeju Island for a powerful healing effect and is also loaded with nutmeg to improve skin quality. It's also free from parabens, synthetic colorants and artificial fragrances.
The foam is quite thick as well but incredibly smooth and pleasant to apply. You only need to use a teeny tiny bit of product to achieve a smooth and refined lather. This foam has an even stronger cooling effect, but it's not overwhelming. This one I would also not recommend to use to remove eye makeup since it can sting if it gets into your eyes!
Verdict
I absolutely love these cleansing products, especially the foam. It leaves my skin clear, smooth and healthy looking! Products like these can tend to make skin feel dry, but it doesn't make my skin feel dry at all, only fresh and moisturised. They have a pretty nice and refreshing scent as well. I don't know exactly how to explain it but I would say that it smells a little bit like mint and medicine (haha?).
Both of these products claim to control blemishes and relieve skin trouble. I haven't really noticed a
big difference in my skin yet, but It has helped a lot with red spots and the likes but my clogged pores are still pretty bad. I don't really expect my clogged pores to get much better from using these but I'll wait and see if these cleansing products can actually make a difference in that department.
In any case, I'm really happy with these products and I can't wait to try out the rest of the products from this line!
