Afternoon Glam Eye Makeup Look

Tuesday, November 29, 2016

Hey, dreamers! So... I filmed a Makeup Tutorial for this look that I wanted to call 'Afternoon Glam' but it turns out that I had a really distracting eye goo in my eye during the entire video so I'm not going to upload it. It's kind of hilarious but frustrating at the same time. I thought that I'd at least share a picture of the finished look here. It was supposed to go in the thumbnail for the video. This is my simple everyday look with a bit of glam. Since I do this look almost every day, I will probably give it another shot soon.

What do you think? Do you look forward to seeing a Tutorial for this look? Let me know in the comments!

[Review] ETUDE HOUSE Honey Cera Treatment Lip Oil & Honey Cera Skin Care 4 Kit (Toner, Emulsion, Eye Serum and Cream)

Monday, November 28, 2016

Hello, dreamers! I love lip care products but I haven't done a review on any lip care products or even gotten anything new worth mentioning since I did the review on the Etude House Kissable Lips Series. I got a bunch of things from Etude House the other day and decided to pick up this Honey Cera Treatment Lip Oil. I'm also going to include a review on the Honey Cera Skin Care 4 Kit, which I got for free when I got the Lip Oil.

 photo IMG_2753_zpsfe6umloq.jpg
The Honey Cera Line which claims to be firming, nourishing and give your skin elasticity targets dry skin and wrinkle care. The main ingredients in this line are honey and Ceramide which the name already gives away.

 photo IMG_2756_zps3ym03aem.jpg

 photo IMG_2763_zpsennq0xtz.jpg

First of all I want to say that I've known about the Honey Cera Line for a while but I'd never thought about getting anything from that line since it targets dry skin and wrinkle care so I didn't think it would go well with my acne-prone combination skin type. However, I checked it out and I'm glad I did. It didn't even cross my mind that they had lip care and other products that would suit me too.

Honey Cera Treatment Lip Oil
[Description] This hydrating lip oil is enriched with superior lip conditioners to heal cracked and chapped lips.

[Ingredients] Polybutene, Diisostearyl Malate, Polyglyceryl-2 Triisostearate, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Bixa Orellana Seed Oil, Honey Extract, Royal Jelly Extract, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Ceramide Np, Alkanna Tinctoria Root Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tocopherol, Water, Butylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Fragrance

[Texture & Scent] The consistency is just perfect. It's not too oily and not too sticky, and it applies very smoothly onto my lips. It just feels amazing on my lips. The scent is really sweet and pleasant. It's kind of similar to real liquid honey in both scent and texture.

Left: I could look at this all day. It does look like real honey, right?, Right: The applicator is super soft which also contributes to a smooth and pleasant application.

[Combining] Other than making my lips soft, another thing I like a lot about this Lip Oil is that I can use it with lip tint. I usually stick with a tinted lip balm since I like how it gives my lips a naturally red and glossy look but after getting this Lip Oil I really love to use it right before or after applying lip tint instead, especially since lip tint can tend to make my lips dry. This combo gives my lips a super moisturized, glossy, and vibrant look which I really love.

 photo IMG_2887_zpst2brwnxs.jpg       photo IMG_2890_zps45ywaqac.jpg
Left: Treatment Lip Oil Only, Right: Treatment Lip Oil with Color in Liquid Lips Juicy #26 RD304. This lip tint in particular is already moisturizing by itself, so it really adds to the juicy effect it has. Click here to see the review!

[Opinion/Results] I usually use this in the last step of my skincare routine, morning and night. I actually don't even get dry or chapped lips a lot, I just like to take care of my lips, but when I do get slightly dry lips applying this really helps. It makes my lips feel super soft whenever I use it, no matter if my lips are dry or not. It also stays on and keeps my lips moisturized for a really long time after just one application. Even if you're not going to use the Lip Oil and a lip tint together, the Lip Oil is a great product for those of you who frequently get dry lips because of lip tint or other lip products (like me). Even though I normally don't have dry lips, I can really feel how this product deeply moisturizes and cares for my lips, so I will dare to say that I'm pretty sure that this product will be great for those of you out there who have dry lips in general.

[Repurchase?] Definitely! I actually like this a lot more than the Etude House Kissable Lip Essence or any other lip treatment that I've tried so far. It's pretty price worthy too at only ₩9,000 (or $11.10). I want to get the Honey Cera Repair Lip balm to go with it too since it seems to be a good alternative for 'on the go'.

Honey Cera Skin Care 4 Kit (Toner, Emulsion, Eye Serum and Cream)
 photo IMG_2856 copy_zpsihpqjgro.jpg
I just need to mention that I'm focusing my skin care on controlling my breakouts right now so I'm not going to try these products for a long period of time. I just tried them out a couple of times so I'm just going to give you my first impressions and thoughts of them.

Toner
[Description] Highly nutritive multi-Toner that moistens rough and dry skin without any stickiness.

[Ingredients] Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Triethylhexanoin, Honey Extract, Ceramide 3, Royal Jelly, Helichrysum Italicum Extract, Tremella Fuciformis (Mushroom) Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, Glyceryl Caprylate, Dimethicone, Cetearyl Alcohol, Squalane, Stearic Acid, Adenosine, Acrylates/Stearyl Methacrylate Copolymer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Alcohol, Xanthan Gum, Palmitic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Peg-20 Glyceryl Isostearate, Peg- 60 Glyceryl Isostearate, Carbomer, Potassium Hydroxide, Disodium Edta, Fragrance, Yellow 5 (Ci 19140), Yellow 6 (Ci 15985)

[Thoughts] This might sound stupid but I was surprised by the color of this toner. All toners I've ever used/tried were clear so I was surprised that this one was white. Other than that it's just a normal toner, but it's slightly thicker (but not sticky) than most toners I've tried (like the Wonder Pore and AC Toner, for example).

Emulsion
[Description] A nourishing and firming Emulsion that provides rich nutrition and strengthens the skin’s oil-moisture balance.

[Ingredients] Water, Butylene Glycol, Hydrogenated Poly(C6-14 Olefin), Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, C14-22 Alcohols, Honey Extract, Ceramide 3, Royal Jelly, Helichrysum Italicum Extract, Tremella Fuciformis (Mushroom) Extract, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, C12-20 Alkyl Glucoside, Glyceryl Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Glyceryl Caprylate, Dextrin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Stearic Acid, Adenosine, Acrylates/Stearyl Methacrylate Copolymer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Alcohol, Xanthan Gum, Carbomer, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Extract, Tromethamine, Palmitic Acid, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Hyaluronic Acid, Disodium Edta, Fragrance, Yellow 5 (Ci 19140), Yellow 6 (Ci 15985)

[Thoughts] This emulsion is quite thick and sticky (I had a hard time getting it out of the bottle, haha). I've actually only tried one emulsion before so, unfortunately, I don't have much to compare with.

 photo IMG_2860_zpsxfzi64il.jpg       photo IMG_2863_zpswc1rj2fd.jpg
Left: Toner, Right: Emulsion

Eye Serum
[Description] A priming Eye Serum that enhances dark circles under the eyes with its whitening function for a smooth and brightened eye area.

[Ingredients] Water, Butylene Glycol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Cyclohexasiloxane, Honey Extract, Ceramide 3, Royal Jelly, Helichrysum Italicum Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Tremella Fuciformis (Mushroom) Extract, Adenosine, Glyceryl Stearate, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Stearic Acid, Silica, Acrylates/Stearyl Methacrylate Copolymer, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/Vp Copolymer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Xanthan Gum, Polyglyceryl- 3 Methylglucose Distearate, Polysilicone-11, Peg-100 Stearate, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Alcohol, Disodium Edta, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

[Thoughts] This is probably the only product out of this kit that I will actually use until it's empty and after seeing the 'real' serum with the applicator I really want to buy it. I don't have any good eye care products right now so I will try this sample a bit longer and see if I'll actually get the real thing along with the other eye care products in this line. So far I really like it. It looks a bit heavy at first glance but it's actually very light-weight and cooling once I start applying it. It spreads like a dream and It absorbs into the skin very quickly.

Cream
[Description] A nourishing and firming Cream that provides dry skin with abundant nutrition and radiance.

[Ingredients] Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Pentaerythrityl Tetraethylhexanoate, Dimethicone, Jojoba Esters, Diisostearyl Malate, Trehalose, Phytosteryl/Behenyl/Octyldodecyl Lauroyl Glutamate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Honey Extract, Ceramide 3, Royal Jelly, Helichrysum Italicum Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Tremella Fuciformis (Mushroom) Extract, Palmitic Acid, Adenosine, Stearic Acid, Ethylhexylglycerin, Alcohol, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Extract, Xanthan Gum, Polyisobutene, Peg-100 Stearate, Peg-40 Stearate, Acrylates/Stearyl Methacrylate Copolymer, Polyacrylate-13, Dextrin, Polysorbate 20, Disodium Edta, Phenoxyethanol, Yellow 5 (Ci 19140), Yellow 6 (Ci 15985), Fragrance

[Thoughts] This cream is very thick and rich. I only applied it to my hands and neck, because I'm too worried that it may cause my face to breakout, and it made my skin super soft so I can definitely see how it will fit those with dry and/or mature skin.

 photo IMG_2857_zpsaiojjmwz.jpg       photo IMG_2892_zps5n477q9k.jpg
Left: Eye Serum, Right: Cream

[Scent] One thing that I love about these products is that all of them smell absolutely amazing. It's hard to describe but I would say that it smells like a mix of honey, flowers and maybe... cinnamon? It's not an overwhelming scent and for some reason it's actually very soothing to me. Out of all the skin care products I've tried from Etude, this line has the best scent in my opinion.

[Overall] All of these products seem amazing. One more thing they all have in common is that every product is a lot richer compared to their equivalents, so they are definitely best suitable for dry skin, wrinkle-care and even normal skin types. Not so much for oily and acne-prone skin. It's too bad that I won't be able to use the skin care products that much but I will definitely take a closer look at the eye care products and hopefully get to make a review on them in the future.
Thank you so much for reading. I hope you enjoyed. Bye for now!

[Review] Etude House Berry Delicious Color In Liquid Lips Juicy #26 RD304 & #32 PP502

Hello, lovelies! I have one of the colors from the original Color in Liquid Lips line but haven't done a review on it yet since I'm actually not sure if I like it or not. Anyhow, I really wanted a new lip tint so I decided to give a couple of shades from the Color In Liquid Lips Juicy line a try because I love moisturizing and "juicy" lip tints. I went with #26 RD304 and #32 PP502. I also would've gotten the #31 GR701 if I'd known that it actually turns out pink. I really love pinks with cool undertones so I will definitely get it the next time I go to Etude. Anyway, let's take a look!

[Description] The moisturizing strawberry moisture softly melts on the lips, with the sweet and sour color expressing juicy, wet lips.

 photo IMG_2820_zpslkpsouwn.jpg
First of all can we just talk about how cute these are? I love how the colored tube itself is made to look like a strawberry with the little seeds.

 photo IMG_2823_zpsijpvcmxp.jpg#26 RD304 [Ingredients]
Water, Octyldodecanol, Trimethylsiloxyphenyl Dimethicone, Glycerin, Sorbitan Stearate, Alcohol, Ethylcellulose, Lycium Chinense Fruit Extract, Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Fruit Extract, Orange 4 (Ci 15510), Fragaria Chiloensis (Strawberry) Fruit Extract, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Sapindus Mukurossi Fruit Extract, Vaccinium Angustifolium (Blueberry) Fruit Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Red 7 (Ci 15850), Red 33 (Ci 17200), Rubus Chamaemorus Seed Extract, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Polyglyceryl-2 Triisostearate, Polysorbate 60, Polysorbate 20, Polyacrylate-13, Polyisobutene, Propanediol, Fragrance, Yellow 6 Lake (Ci 15985)

#32 PP502 [Ingredients]
Water, Octyldodecanol, Trimethylsiloxyphenyl Dimethicone, Glycerin, Sorbitan Stearate, Alcohol, Ethylcellulose, Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891), Lycium Chinense Fruit Extract, Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Fruit Extract, Fragaria Chiloensis (Strawberry) Fruit Extract, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Sapindus Mukurossi Fruit Extract, Vaccinium Angustifolium (Blueberry) Fruit Extract, Silica, Alumina, Ethylhexylglycerin, Red 33 (Ci 17200), Rubus Chamaemorus Seed Extract, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Polyglyceryl-2 Diisostearate, Polysorbate 60, Polysorbate 20, Polyacrylate-13, Polyisobutene, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Propanediol, Fragrance

 photo IMG_2827_zps5cedx9x5.jpg       photo IMG_2831_zpsxrf1gvep.jpg
The applicators are quite stiff but 'fluffy' (if that makes sense) which makes the application smooth and pleasant but also precise.

[Texture] The formula is watery and lightweight. It manages to give your lips a nice juicy look without feeling thick or sticky.

[Scent] The scent is absolutely amazing. It's pleasantly sweet, like a mix of berries and bubblegum. Both of the colors I got smell the same to me, but I thought it would've been a fun touch if the different colors had different scents.

 photo IMG_2813_zpsmtrl2i4y.jpg       photo IMG_2832_zpswkkuhifx.jpg

[Color] The color is a little bit sheer at first but can be built up to be very opaque. Since the formula is so watery it makes them easy to blend and allows you to create various different looks. You can apply just a small amount to add a natural tint to your lips, add more to the middle to create a gradient effect or just build it up to create a full-looking and vibrant lip.

 photo IMG_2972stamp_zpsrdbgrw9x.jpg       photo IMG_2974stamp_zpsdcybwu7p.jpg
In the pictures above, I first added a small amount of tint all over my lips. Then added another layer in the center to create a full-looking lip with a gradient effect. This is my absolute favorite lip look.

[Repurchase?] Yes! Like I said before, I really love the "juicy lips" look. I kind of want to get this in all shades now. Especially the green and orange ones.

What do you think? Let me know in the comments below!

Thank you so much for reading and bye for now!

[Review] Innisfree Super Volcanic Clay Mousse Mask

Wednesday, November 23, 2016

Hello, lovelies! I'm back with a review on the Innisfree Super Volcanic Clay Mousse Mask. I absolutely love the Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask and instantly got this one when it came out.

[Description]
The mask with micro clay mousse containing Super volcanic cluster to fill in the pore and fine lines to completely remove excess sebum and micro dust.

[Directions] Pump an appropriate amount and smooth over towel-dried skin after cleansing, avoiding the eye and lip areas. When the mask dries after 10-15 minutes, wash off with lukewarm water (use 1-2 times a week.

- Press the pump with care at first so you do not dispense the mousse too much.
- Always close the button cap and lid after use.

[
Ingredients] WATER, KAOLIN, TITANIUM DIOXIDE (CI 77891), VOLCANIC ASH, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, SILICA, ALCOHOL, POLYVINYL ALCOHOL, CYCLOPENTASILOXANE, STEARIC ACID, CELLULOSE, PALMITIC ACID, BENTONITE, CYCLOHEXASILOXANE, SALIX ALBA (WILLOW), BARK EXTRACT, LACTIC ACID, JUGLANS REGIA (WALNUT), SHELL POWDER,  CITRUS UNSHIU PEEL EXTRACT, ORCHID EXTRACT, CAMELLIA SINENSIS LEAF EXTRACT, CAMELLIA JAPONICA EXTRACT LEAF EXTRACT, OPUNTIA COCCINELLIFERA FRUIT EXTRACT, MICROCRYSTALLINE CELLULOSE, MANNITOL, CETARYL ALCOHOL, SORBITAN STEARATE, ARGININE, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, ZEA MAYS (CORN), STARCH, XANTHAN GUM, IRON OXIDES (CI 77499), DISODIUM EDTA, PHENOXYETHANOL, NITROGEN

The mousse is very creamy and light-weight, It applies very smoothly and you only need a little bit to cover your face completely. These are two of the things that I really like about this mask, especially compared to the Original Clay mask which is quite thick which makes it hard to apply and you need a lot of product to cover the face completely.

The mask dries quite quickly, after only 10 minutes or so, and once it has dried completely my face feels really tight, and I can literally see the sebum coming out from my pores. When I wash it off my face does sometimes feel a little bit dry but also really smooth and clear. My pores get noticeably cleaner and all excess sebum removed. It does exactly what it promises to do. However, if you have dry or sensitive skin this might not be the best product for you. Despite your skin type, If you decide to give this a try, make sure to moisturize your skin thoroughly after use.

Other than the slight risk of that it might make your face dry, the only downside about this mask is that it can easily get very messy unless you are careful. The first time I used it I managed to get this stuff everywhere!

Repurchase? Yes! Like I mentioned, I really loved the Original Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask but I do like this one slightly better since it basically does the exact same thing but is a lot easier to apply and wash off. The slight dryness that occurs afterwards is not really a big problem to me since I have naturally oily skin and I also always use a lot of moisturizers in my skin care routine. It's also price-worthy at only 19,000₩ for a lot of product. Overall, I really love this Mousse Mask! It's currently my favorite mask.

Thank you so much for reading. I hope you enjoyed. Bye for now.

How to make a Syntethic wig look natural

Monday, November 21, 2016

Hello, dreamers! In this post I want to show you how to make any Synthetic wig look natural and also make it super soft and smell really nice. Basically, to make a Synthetic wig look more natural we want to remove the extreme shine that synthetic wigs have.

What you need:
Syntethic wig
A bowl
Fabric Softener
Baby Powder

Optional:
Wig stand

1. Take your wig and dump it into your bowl. The size or the material of the bowl doesn't matter as long as it's big enough for your wig and the fabric softener liquid.

2. Pour the Fabric Softener into the bowl with your wig. It doesn't have to cover the wig completely, but be sure to put enough fabric softener in there so that it saturates the wig more than enough. I like to give it a little stir at this point too. Leave it in there for 5 days. Yes, you read that right. For maximum results you should leave it in the bowl with the fabric softener for about 5 days. But if you're in a rush, 2 days should be enough.
3. When 5 days have passed, remove the wig from the bowl and wash it thoroughly with water and let it dry. Put it on the wig stand and let it air dry it or just use a hair dryer. Give it a good brush once it's dry. You will notice that most of the shine will have disappeared and that it's super soft and smells nice.

   4. When everything is dry, apply the baby powder on every section of hair. This will take some time but you want to make sure to cover every single hair and really get it in there. Add some more on the spots where you still can see shine. This will really remove the unwanted shininess and make it look almost like real hair.

5. And done! Just give it a good brush and style as desired. Your wig should be a lot softer and flowy with a more matte and natural texture.

Here are some selfies I took with the wig once I was done with it. I'm really happy with how it turned out! Let me know what you think in the comments.
Thanks for reading and bye for now!

[Review] Etude House Look At My Eyes (1608) Melancholy Budapest Eyeshadow / 에뛰드 룩 앳 마이 아이즈 멜랑꼴리 부다페스트

Saturday, November 19, 2016

Hello, dreamers! Although I love Etude I haven't bought any eyeshadows from them in quite a while since they simply didn't have anything new that caught my interest - until now. I was so happy to see that they have a brand new line of eyeshadows. The new line is called Melancholy Budapest and they are also part of Look At My Eyes (1608), Look At My Eyes Jewel (1608) and Look At My Eyes Café (1608).

This line includes pretty much all of my favorite eyeshadow colors - Matte Taupes, Warm Shimmers, Pastels and Smokey Greys/Blacks! Now that I think about it I kind of regret that I didn't get all of them since they're all really beautiful. I literally already have so many eyeshadows that I barely use so I just picked a few of them. For now. Hehe. The shades I got are #2 PK010, #3 PP510, #14 BK803 (Jewel), #15 PP505 (Café), #16 BK804 (Café), #18 BK807. Let's take a look!

I actually don't use pink eyeshadows that much but this one was just too gorgeous. It's a shimmering bubblegum pink. It looks really beautiful together with the PP510.

#3 PP510

This is a really beautiful frosty purple with pink undertones.

#14 BK803 (Jewel)
 photo IMG_2800stamp_zpsewc3ybsu.jpg       photo IMG_2798stamp_zpspqqizwke.jpg
This is probably my favourite eyeshadow out of the ones I got this time. I love all of the shades I got but this one is definitely the most unique and beautiful. It's basically a dark grey with lots of fine multicoloured/holographic glitter in it. The glitter looks really chunky in the pan but it's slightly finer when applied. It looks like a sky full of stars.

#15 PP505 (Café)
 photo IMG_2791stamp_zpsym3hsuec.jpg       photo IMG_2790stamp_zpsewt8jfup.jpg
This is a gorgeous matte burgundy with teeny tiny hints of glitter in it.

I really love a good taupe eyeshadow. Not only for my eyes, but for shading the rest of my face as well. Most products that are specifically made for contouring are usually very orange and those just don't do it for me, so I always go with taupe eyeshadows for my shading instead. It looks a bit purple in this picture but it's actually just a neutral taupe. Look at the swatches below to see what it really looks like when applied. I already have so many taupes similar to this one but I literally can't have too many because, like I said, I always use this kind of shade for shading and contouring my eyes and face no matter what kind of look I'm going for.

#18 BK807
 photo IMG_2795stamp_zpszwtzenwe.jpg       photo IMG_2794stamp_zpssxion4oe.jpg
Ugh, I just realised how horrible this pan looks. Sorry about that. I messed it up quite a bit when I was about to move it to my Etude House Eyeshadow palette before I realised that I wanted to take photos. Anyway, this was actually the first eyeshadow I picked out of the ones I got. I really needed a good grey eyeshadow and I thought that this was perfect for me. It has a slightly purple undertone and very small pink/purple glitter particles. Absolutely beautiful and perfect for smoky makeup.

 photo IMG_2805stamp_zpszo7dyvzz.jpg
From left to right, top to bottom: BK804, PP510, BK803, PP505, PK010, BK807

One thing that all of these eyeshadows have in common is that all of them are very pigmented and last for a really long time. At last but not least they are also dirt cheap. The Normal Look at My Eyes and Café Eyeshadows are ₩3,500 and the Jewel Eyeshadows are ₩5,500.

Do you like these eyeshadows? Let me know if you want me to review the rest of the eyeshadows of this line too. And feel free to check out the last review I did on the Etude House eyeshadows here.
Thank you so much for reading and bye for now.
