Color

I give both of the colors 5 stars. The green is a perfect shade of green, not too blue and not too yellow. Same goes for the Violet - It's a perfect shade, not too blue and not too pink. The colors are very soft and fresh, and they're so pretty and vibrant even in any kind of lighting. I also like that these lenses are a bit transparent. It just looks much softer compared to lenses who are completely opaque.

Design

I have so many mixed feelings about the design. I was a bit disappointed in the design at first since I was expecting them (especially the green ones) to blend in better with my natural eye color. However, I really grew to like it since it does give you a very nice look and lives up to it's name, Eclipse. I know a lot of people dislike the "halo" effect of lenses like these ones do have, but I actually think that this adds even more to the "eclipse" effect. I think it's simply a matter of taste whether you'll like them or not.

Outdoors (Hm, I'm sorry about the quality of the "Outdoors" pictures. I don't know why they always turn out so blurry...)

Enlargement

Not that much of an enlarging effect since the design is pretty plain and the limbal ring is very thin. Still good tho!

Comfort

Very comfortable! I did have a bit of a problem with them at first, but I think I was just unlucky. They turned out to be really comfortable.

Even though I really like these lenses on my green eyes, I think they will look best on brown or black eyes. I still have mixed feeling about the green ones, but I'm absolutely in love with the violet ones. I just think they have a really mysterious and dewy(?) look. And even though they can look a bit obvious, I wouldn't mind wearing them on casual occasions. I really wanna try them in other colors too! Click here to check out the other color variations.

Design

The design is so close to perfect! The only things that's missing is that it should cover a bit more of the natural iris, and that the pattern looks a little harsh when looking really close. Otherwise it's absolutely perfect.

Color

The color is also perfect! They look more like light blue than grey, which is great since that's exactly the kind of color I'm looking for! Actually, most "Grey" lenses I tried turn out to look more like a natural light/ice blue rather than grey. Despite the color difference between the lens and my natural iris, they blend in very well. You can clearly see the difference in the close-up pictures, but it still looks pretty neat.

Enlargement

These lenses make my eyes look huge! I absolutely love the enlarging effect. These are probably the biggest lenses I've ever owned!

Comfort

Super Comfortable! I expected them to make my eyes feel dry pretty fast because of the large diameter, but I noticed that I can wear them for almost a whole day without feeling any kind of irritation. This makes me so happy since this means I can use them as everyday lenses.

Overall Opinion/TL;DR

These are currently my favorite lenses (sharing first place with Geo Café Mimi Cappuccino Brown)! I've been using them a lot since they give me a great enlarging effect, the eye color of my dreams and they're also very comfortable. There's not much more to say, except that I absolutely adore these lenses!

Design

These lenses have a pretty strange design, although I kinda like it. They look pretty nice from afar, but when you look at them closely you can clearly see the strange "spiked" limbal ring which I personally don't like at all. Strangely, they blend relatively well with my natural iris which is a plus.

Color

The color is gorgeous! It has more of a blue/silver hue to it which I absolutely love. The color is very intense and shows up well in pretty much any kind of lighting.

Enlargement

As expected, being a 14.2mm lens they don't give you an amazingly great enlarging effect. The enlarging effect is noticeable, but not overwhelming.

Comfort

Very comfortable! Understandable, because of the small diameter and high water content. Wearable for several hours without feeling any kind of dryness or irritation.

Overall Opinion

To be honest I was pretty skeptical when I was introduced to these lenses, but once I tried them on I actually kinda liked them. When worn they kinda remind me of the EOS New Adult lenses because of the design, enlargement (14.2mm) and intense color, although the design of these lenses is a bit more unique/strange.

They don't give you the best enlarging effect, but I think that the strong side of these lenses is the extremely intense and bright color. Many lenses I've tried look really dark (almost black) in some lightings, but these really stand out even in low lighting (which is great!).

I will probably not use them on a regular basis, but they're perfect for taking pictures since they look very pretty and intense in photos.

I would simply say that these are perfect for those who are looking for lenses that give you an edgy and mature look.

Geo Grang Grang Big Brown Review - Sponsored by Eyecandy's

Saturday, February 8, 2014

Design

The design looks very natural and blends in perfectly with my natural iris. It's almost the same as the pattern of the Geo Grang Grang Big Choco Lenses, but the thing that bugged me about these is that  the edge of these lenses isn't as crisp and clean, but rather kinda pixelated. They also don't give me the same shiny and glass-like effect which was a bit of a downer. However, they are still very pretty the way they are.

Color

The color is a really nice 2-toned warm brown. The limbal ring is dark brown while the inner part is a mix of dark brown and a lighter brown. It's a true and clear brown which shows up very well in any lighting. You can barely see the color difference between the lens and my natural iris (unless you look really close). These will probably look best on people with hazel, brown, green or even black eyes.

Comfort

These are very comfortable! I could wear them for several hours without feeling any kind of irritation. But unfortunately, I didn't get them in my prescription (probably because of miscommunication) which means that I can't use them as everyday lenses (unless I wear glasses).

Enlargement

The enlargement is good but it doesn't quite give me the enlarging effect I personally prefer.

Overall Opinion/TL;DR

The main pro about these lenses is that they look sooo natural on my eyes. You can barely see the difference between the lenses and my natural iris. The color is very pretty and they're comfortable to wear. I would've definitely used them as everyday lenses if I'd just gotten them in my prescription.

If you're looking for natural looking lenses that give a great enlarging effect for you black, brown, hazel or green eyes - these are definitely the ones for you!
