Etude House Sweet Recipe Dear My Jelly Lips-talk JPK0001

Friday, May 16, 2014

Hello lovelies! I'm back with another review of a Lipstick by Etude House. I've only tried the Lipsticks from the Dear My Blooming Lips-talk series before, so I thought that it's about time to try a different kind. Right now I'm really into lip colors and tints that will give my lips a natural looking color and glossy finish, so this one seemed to be a product worth trying.

Packaging and Design

Etude House Lipsticks are always so cute! I usually don't care much about packaging, but this one is really cute and colorful. I always save the cute packages of makeup products, haha~ The holder is a pearly white with very nice details, as usual. The small pink beads are also a nice touch since they really look like tiny jelly beans. So cute!

And of course, the lipstick bullet itself has the Etude House mark on it.

Scent

The Dear My Blooming Lip-talk Lipsticks I've tried have a floral scent, but this one has a nice and Fruity/Juicy scent. It reminds me a lot of a kind of sour candy I used to love when I was a kid.

As you can see, my bare lips have a reddish tone and overall they look pretty washed out, especially towards the edges. They're also a bit dry right now.

Color

I didn't expect the color to show up that much, but I was positively surprised when the tint turned out to be such a pretty color. It's very sheer but it still changes my lip color completely and still looks very subtle and natural.

As you can see in the picture my lips also look so much healthier and softer when I applied this lipstick!

Overall/TL;DR

Just to make things clear, this is a lip tint. Think of it as a lip balm with tint in it. The color will vary depending on your natural lip color, but I'm sure that it will give anyone a fresh lip color! I bought this lipstick purely out of curiosity and I honestly didn't expect to like it this much! What I mostly love about it is that it gives my washed out lips a fuller look with a very natural and subtle color with a glossy finish. I really love it and I will definitely repurchase. I might even try it out in another color. Let me know what you think! Bye for now, lovelies!

My trip to Thailand, Bangkok

Tuesday, May 13, 2014

Hello Lovelies~! I know I haven't been very active on my blog or any of my social media sites. The reason behind this is because I've spent the last 3 weeks in Thailand. I pretty much had the best time of my life. The food, the people, the shopping, the nightlife - I just loved everything about it. So, I want to share some of my favorite & most memorable pictures with you. Leggo!

So, first of all I landed in Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok, but went straight to Phetchabun which is where my friend is from.

This is the house we lived in! We lived pretty much on the countryside. I've never lived in this kind of environment before, so it was all very new to me. However, it was very nice and relaxing!

It took around 20 min to the closest town if going by moped. The fountains there were so pretty!

After a few relaxing days in this small village, we were off to Bangkok by Mini Bus!

Being the Makeup addict that I am, I just had to take a picture of this Etude House store, which was the first picture I took in Bangkok. Etude House is one of my fav Makeup brands!

A market place, 5 min walk from our Hotel.

Siam Paragon! Lots of shopping and restaurants. It was stupid of me not to take more photos inside of shopping malls, because the shopping was craaazy!

The traffic was completely insane most of the time!

Food, food, food! One of my favorite things about Thailand is definitely the food. There's so much to choose from, and it's always delicious. I think I could order pretty much anything and I would still love it, haha.

Karaoke Farm. A really cozy and cute place! The karaoke rooms were all in these little houses, and they had real animals walking around in their pens. They had horses, goats and even Alpacas!

I was hanging out a lot with two friends of mine, Emma and Lydia, who currently live in Bangkok (Check out their blog where they write about life in Bkk and more). I just want to take this opportunity to thank them since they were the ones who showed me pretty much all of the places in the pictures. I would've missed out on so much without them!

Anyway, the picture above is from a club where we celebrated a friend's birthday. Crazy times!

Inside and outside of the club Route 66. Yet again, crazy times!

The beginning of Khaosan Road aka The place where sh*t goes down. This is a place where a lot of tourists gather, and it was probably where I had the craziest times out of all, haha!

A really pretty fountain outside of Terminal 21.

The "Japan Floor" at Terminal 21. Each floor represents a different country, which was really cool.

On my last day in Bangkok we went to Asiatique which is a really cozy place with a lot of shops and restaurants.

The view from the harbor.

I was really surprised when I found a Milklim store, which is one of my favorite clothing brands!

Love Locks at Juliet Love Garden - The legend tells us that if a Love Lock with the initials of two people in love is affixed to the fence and the keys are thrown in the fountain, they will return together to the fountain and their love will be forever locked.

I might add more pictures and info later! I'm sorry for not explaining everything more in detail, but as you can see I visited some amazing places and met a lot of awesome people. I enjoyed Bangkok so much and I will definitely go back there very soon. Bye for now, lovelies~!

Princess Pinky Eclipse Green

Color

I give both of the colors 5 stars. The green is a perfect shade of green, not too blue and not too yellow. Same goes for the Violet - It's a perfect shade, not too blue and not too pink. The colors are very soft and fresh, and they're so pretty and vibrant even in any kind of lighting. I also like that these lenses are a bit transparent. It just looks much softer compared to lenses who are completely opaque.

Design

I have so many mixed feelings about the design. I was a bit disappointed in the design at first since I was expecting them (especially the green ones) to blend in better with my natural eye color. However, I really grew to like it since it does give you a very nice look and lives up to it's name, Eclipse. I know a lot of people dislike the "halo" effect of lenses like these ones do have, but I actually think that this adds even more to the "eclipse" effect. I think it's simply a matter of taste whether you'll like them or not.

Outdoors (Hm, I'm sorry about the quality of the "Outdoors" pictures. I don't know why they always turn out so blurry...)

Enlargement

Not that much of an enlarging effect since the design is pretty plain and the limbal ring is very thin. Still good tho!

Comfort

Very comfortable! I did have a bit of a problem with them at first, but I think I was just unlucky. They turned out to be really comfortable.

Even though I really like these lenses on my green eyes, I think they will look best on brown or black eyes. I still have mixed feeling about the green ones, but I'm absolutely in love with the violet ones. I just think they have a really mysterious and dewy(?) look. And even though they can look a bit obvious, I wouldn't mind wearing them on casual occasions. I really wanna try them in other colors too! Click here to check out the other color variations.
