Dolly Wink Eyelash Case (Purple)

Tuesday, January 19, 2016

Hi, lovelies! I've always been a big fan of Dolly Wink cosmetics and the design of their products. I used to have their old eyelash case with the pink and black polka dot design, but it has become completely worn out, so yeah. I got myself the eyelash case with the newer design from Dolly Wink. I already wanted it the first time I saw it and I honestly don't know why I didn't get it sooner.

I found some Dolly Wink cosmetics here in Seoul but I couldn't find this case, so I simply got it on eBay.

The pattern design is so cute, right? I absolutely love the lovely lavender color too. I think this pattern is a lot prettier and more unique than the old one, but the design of the case itself is pretty much the same.

These are my favourite top and bottom lashes, Dolly Wink No.2 Sweet Girly and No.13 Baby Cute. This case can fit a huge amount of lashes if you want (unless you want everything to look really neat like in this picture). I currently keep pretty much every pair of lashes I use in there. Where do you store your falsies? Let me know in the comments!

Viva Glam Ariana

Thursday, January 14, 2016

Good girl? Bad girl? Glam girl? Ask VIVA GLAM Ariana Grande! Go deep dark in her matte plum Lipstick or good, good in shimmering pink Lipglass. Wear each shade alone, or layer them together. Paint the town GLAM!

Hi, lovelies! I love MAC (but let's be honest, who doesn't?) and I've always been a huge fan of their Viva Glam Series. I was obviously really excited when I saw this Viva Glam Ariana campaign. I have the Viva Glam Gaga 1 Lipstick and the Viva Glam Nicki 2 Lipstick and Lipglass (you can check out my super old review on them here).

Actually, the thing that first caught my attention was the super pretty background for this campaign. I love the pastel pink and lavender. Secondly, I've been looking for a dark plum/almost black lipstick for a while now so it felt like they'd read my mind when I saw this campaign. This shade looks exactly like what I've been looking for. Perfect!

I'm not too thrilled about this lipglass tho to be honest. I usually don't wear lipgloss anyway, but when I do I usually go for a clear or really dark red gloss, and without shimmer. I really like the whole "Good Girl or Bad Girl" concept tho. The lipglass reminds me of my younger and more or less innocent days when the makeup I used to wear was literally just pink shimmering lipgloss and mascara. I'm talking about like 10 years ago when I was 12.

Unfortunately for me, Mac Cosmetics only ships within the States so I gotta find the closest Mac Store here in Seoul ASAP. That lipstick is definitely my must have item right now. I swear I passed one just the other day. Argh.

You can head over to Mac Cosmetics to check out the Viva Glam Ariana Collection and the other products to get the look. What do you think about this years' Viva Glam Collection? Let me know in the comments!
Thanks for reading and bye for now, lovelies.

The left side shows the outer part and the right side shows the inner part.

Color & Design: The speckled, spiky pattern is very pretty and quite unique. The color scheme of is a mix of a natural-looking green and a touch of vibrant blue. The green matches perfectly with my green eyes and the blue gives my eyes some extra depth & vibrance

Enlargement: The enlargement is very subtle but noticeable even though the diameter is quite large.

Comfort: They lenses are very comfortable and I can wear them for about 4-5 hours (which is the recommended maximum time to wear circle lenses) without any discomfort at all.

Verdict: These lenses look so natural and blend in perfectly with my natural eye colour. I use circle lenses on a regular basis and everyone I know is aware of that, but when I was wearing these lenses it actually took a while for my friends to realise that I was actually wearing circle lenses. I personally prefer lenses that give me a greater enlarging effect but I love to use these as everyday lenses when I just want a natural look. I think these lenses will suit almost every eye colour since they blend in very well with the natural iris. They give green or blue eyes a naturally enlarging effect and a pop of colour while it gives dark eyes a more crystalline look.

You can get these lenses at PinkyParadise.com

[Review] Innisfree Mineral Moisture Foundation SPF34 PA++ W1 & W2

Wednesday, December 2, 2015

Hi, lovelies! I'm back with another review. This time I'm going to review the Innisfree Mineral Moisture Foundation in the shades W1 & W2. I first saw this being used in a makeup tutorial on Youtube. It was described to give you a dewy look and it apparently fits any skin type, so I was really eager to try it out.

This foundation contains 30ml of product and comes in 6 different shades; 3 cool tones and 3 warm tones. The key ingredients are mineral powder and juju green tea. It claims to give deep moisture, perfect coverage and a perfect fit.

Innisfree's Description
"Formulated with Jeju mineral ingredients and organic green tea water, this mineral moisture foundation helps to portray a dewy and sleek complexion as if essence were applied to your skin."

Color
W1 (Light Beige) - Light yellow undertone.
W2 (Natural Beige) - Light orange undertone.

W1 is the shade that I currently use. The tone itself is the best match for me. It's a tad bit lighter than my skin color but It blends in very nicely. I also decided to try out the one in W2 which, unfortunately, was too orange compared to my skin tone which is more on the yellow/olive side.

So even if you can't find the perfect match for your color, it will blend in very nicely as long as you pick the one that is the closest to your skin color.

Coverage
The coverage is great! It's nice and even, but one layer is not quite enough to cover dark circles and dark red spots completely. However, the coverage is definitely build able. No matter how much you build it up it It won't look cakey at all.

As you can see, my hand is quite speckled (my hands and feet are usually more red compared to the rest of my body, but it's annoyingly prominent in pictures), so you can clearly see what a difference this foundation makes!

Finish
As you can see, it blends in very nicely (even though it's not fully blended) and looks very natural whilst giving perfect coverage at the same time. And just as promised, this foundation leaves a beautiful dewy finish. It kind of looks like my own skin, but flawless and radiant.

Verdict
I really love this foundation! I'm already on my second bottle (My first bottle lasted for a really long time tho) and I will keep on using it. I've pretty much given up on BB Creams since all of them are either too grey, orange or pink for my skin tone. This one just matches my skin so well. But I'm really curious about Innisfree's Cushion foundations so I'll probably try out one of those too.

Let me know if there's anything I missed about what you want to know about this foundation!

Thank you so much for reading and bye for now, lovelies!

[Review] ETUDE HOUSE Lovely Cookie Blusher #7 Rose Sugar Macaron

Wednesday, November 11, 2015

Hi, lovelies! I made a small haul post a while ago and one of the things I got at that time was the 'Lovely Cookie Blusher #7 Rose Sugar Macaron' from ETUDE HOUSE. Let's take a closer look.

SAM_9191
One of the things I like about this blusher is the extremely cute and simple design. I absolutely adore the puff that comes with it - It's both cute and useful! I usually always use a regular blush brush to apply my blusher, but the puff that comes with this blush works perfectly fine and it helps to create a soft look.

SAM_9190   SAM_9194
The color is a lovely rose pink with a beautiful pearly sheen and golden shimmer. The color looks quite light in the pan but it's actually more prominent once it's applied. The color is neither to sheer nor to opaque, it just creates a beautiful and soft blushing look.
SAM_9192
The texture is very smooth and silky. It glides on like a dream and doesn't get cakey at all.
SAM_9210   SAM_9207
The color lasts a long time and still looks good at the end of the day. The blush still looks as if it had been freshly applied even though my face gets quite oily at the end of the day. This is a big plus for me since I usually go out and meet friends after work. So I don't even need to bring my blush to touch it up.

I have many blushers in various colors from different brands, 3 out of them are also Lovely Cookie Blushers, but this is by far my favourite blusher ever! What is you favorite blusher? Please let me know in the comments!
Thank you for reading and bye for now, lovelies.
