小悪魔ageha 2013年10月 / Koakuma Ageha October 2013

I haven't made any updates on the fashion magazines I read for a while now. This is mostly because I honestly think that it's always just the same and haven't found anything that stood out more than usual, but they actually did something pretty different in this issue of 小悪魔ageha which caught my eye right away (See the picture below).

Also, I know that KERA already focuses on visual styles (lolita, etc.) like this, but surprisingly I haven't seen any tutorials on more extreme Makeup like this. The makeup they show is usually very subtle, while the fashion is more extreme instead (and a huge inspiration to me).

Anyway, I sometimes forget how much you can change your appearance with makeup and this made me feel really inspired and motivated to improve my skills. I'm still a beginner when it comes to visual makeup, so this is very useful to me since I actually might learn something from it. I really like the two looks in the center, so I might even try them out on myself in the future.

What kind of makeup do you like the most? Girly Gyaru or Visual?

Etude House Dear My Blooming Lips Talk PK007 & PK009

Saturday, October 19, 2013

Hello Lovelies!

Etude House has become one of my favorite Makeup brands, and I recently purchased a lot of new products from them. This is the first time I try out their lipsticks, and I decided to review both of them in one post so it's easier to compare them and actually see the difference. Keep reading if you want to know more about what I think of them!

Packaging & Design

One thing that I absolutely love about Etude House is that their products always look amazingly pretty! The design of this lipstick is so cute! It's pretty simple but the details really make a difference. Even the lipstick bullet has a small engraving on it (should've taken a close-up picture of it).

To be honest It's a lot more fun to use and simply own/collect Makeup when the products are this pretty.

 Color

Both of the colors are gorgeous, and they're very true to Etude House's official pictures. Very opaque and show up great even on bare lips. PK007 is a soft, rosy/dusty pink. Looks more natural. PK009 is a vivid, light pink with a slightly bluish hue.

Texture & Lastability

Very smooth and creamy, almost like a lip balm. It leaves a nice glossy finish and feels light on the lips, not heavy or sticky at all. Lasts quite well and even when it starts wearing off it sort of blends into your lips and doesn't leave any unflattering 'streaks'.

Overall

I usually prefer pink lipsticks with a bluish hue like PK009, but in this case I must say that I prefer PK007. Of course, I love both of them, but since I usually only wear very bright and vivid colors on my lips I'm just so glad that I finally found a soft and natural looking pink lipstick that I actually like.

I don't have much more to say since I honestly like every single thing about these lipsticks. The color, texture and packaging is just perfect. In the past I didn't pay much attention to texture when it comes to lipsticks, but the quality is really outstanding. I really want to get them in every color now!

Stay tuned for more reviews of Etude House's products. Bye for now!

Sequin Party Dress & High Heel Boots

Friday, October 18, 2013

Hi Lovelies~! I wanted to buy a new dress for an upcoming event, so I bought this sequin dress from nelly.com that I've had my eye on for quite some time now. It was about time for me to get myself a new party dress anyway and I thought that I as well should just go with something I can wear for other events too. The dress is open in the back and it's just so gorgeous. While I was at it I also had to buy these high boots since I have to sell my 'old' ones (You can check out my blog sale here).

Please note that I will NOT wear these together, haha~ I will probably match the dress with a nice pair of pumps, and the boots will look really nice with my new knit sweater from Dreamv which I got the other day.

You can get both of these and many other gorgeous items at nelly.com

ダンガンロンパシリーズ × LISTEN FLAVOR

I don't watch much Anime, but Dangan Ronpa is one of the few series that I really like. I haven't played the games yet, but I'm planning to do so in the future. I love the character design and art style, so using it in a clothing collection like this one couldn't be more perfect. I really love every single one of these items and would love to add them to my closet. I'll definitely get some of them soon!

96 Color Eyeshadow Palette

Thursday, October 17, 2013

My old 'Color Eyeshadow Palette' has disappeared completely, so I decided to get a new one. Considering how cheap this palette is, the quality is very good. Even though it's a "Color Palette" I love that it has various neutral brown and beige tones too. The pigmentation is pretty decent and each of the eyeshadows last for quite a while. The only downside with these eyeshadows is that they are pretty sensitive and can easily become powdery if you're too rough when using them. But as long as you're careful you've got yourself a decent set of various eyeshadows.

In the picture to the left you can see some of my favorite eyeshadow colors. I usually only use neutral tones when it comes to eyeshadow, but I just had to add those pretty pinks and purples too. A pop of color every now and then can be nice too! I love to use medium brown eyeshadows on my eyelid, a darker brown in my crease and a pearl/champagne color on my lower lid.

I naturally also have the '88 Warm Palette' since I love neutral eyeshadows; It contains a lot of gorgeous brown, golden, black/gray/white shades. I mostly use this colorful one when I feel like experimenting a little.

You can get various makeup palettes like this one for a really good price on eBay. I got mine here.
