🖤 Happy Halloween 🖤

Wednesday, October 31, 2018

Hello, dreamers! I know I'm a bit late but I just want to wish you all a Happy Halloween!

Halloween was a huge part of my childhood back in Sweden. Everyone in my neighbourhood would decorate their house and dress up to go Trick or Treating around the neighbourhood.

However, Halloween isn't really a widely celebrated Holiday here in S. Korea, so unfortunately it was a bit underwhelming for me this year as well. I would've loved to spook out some kids and hand out some candy this year. But, I settled for dressing up and going out with my friends over the weekend. I tried a lot of different looks and the one in the picture to the right is one of them. Can you guess which character I was inspired by?

Anyway, I went to Hongdae on Friday and only like 10% (which were mostly club workers) were dressed up for Halloween. I ended up still having a really good time with my friends tho. On Saturday I went to Itaewon and everything was completely covered in Halloween decorations and it was packed with people (although too many for my liking) and literally everyone was dressed up to the max. It was so much fun to look at all the amazing costumes and we ended up going to some quiet bars to hang out because most places were completely packed. I had a very pleasant time.

So, except for the parties at clubs and bars in popular areas, there's really not much going on here during Halloween. My neighbourhood looked just as it always does, there's no "trick or treating" going on, and it's just not celebrated at home at all. But overall it was a pretty good Halloween. It was a huge motivator for me to wear some makeup looks that I wouldn't dare to wear on normal occasions.  How was your Halloween? Is it widely celebrated where you come from? I would love to hear about it in the comments!
Stay spooky and drink more water, dreamers. See you again soon!

[Review] TTDEYE Magic Blue (On Green Eyes)

Monday, September 24, 2018

Hello, dreamers! In this post I will be reviewing the Magic Blue Coloured Contact Lenses from ttdeye.com. I loved the Princess Pinky Eclipse Lenses in Violet and Green that I tried quite a while ago, and since these looked very similar I just had to try them out. This is the first time I'm trying a pair of lenses from ttdeye, so I'm really excited to share this review with you. Let's take a closer look!

The first thing I noticed when I received my package from ttdeye, which arrived very quickly, was the cute and sturdy box they sent me.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it not only contained the lenses I was expecting, but they had also sent me some cute little gifts.

The contents of the box are Instructions, a Hand Mirror, Temporary Tattoos, a Hair Pin, Glitter, a Squeaky Toy(?), a Lens Case, and the lenses themselves. The fact that they sent instructions is really nice as it's a guide for first-time users and also a reminder for long-time users.

I'm really happy with the lens case I got with my package because it just makes it so much teacher to pick up my lenses with the included tools, instead of using my hands which can transfer bacteria.

The box that the lenses themselves come in is absolutely gorgeous. I love the design and the holographic look.

As you can see, the lenses are a beautiful blue color with a black limbal ring and some black speckles in the center. Please keep in mind that you should leave the lenses in your own contact solution for about a day before using them.

Time for Close-ups!

The vibrant blue color and black outer ring gives the impression of dolly eyes. They don't blend in very well with my natural eye colour which further contributes to that unnatural and dolly look.

And at last but not least, here's a selfie of me wearing the Magic Blue Coloured Contact Lenses.
Overall, I think these lenses are very pretty. Personally, I won't use them when I go out because they look too unnatural for my taste. I think these lenses will look gorgeous on naturally dark brown or black eyes, which gives the impression of big, dolly pupils. However, they are amazing for photos and cosplay no matter what natural eye color you have. And of course, if you're into the extremely dolly look for your everyday wear, just go ahead and use them as your everyday lenses as they are very comfortable.

These lenses were sponsored by ttdeye.com

Thank you so much for checking out this post. I hope you enjoyed it! Please let me know what you think of these lenses in the comments. Do you like the extreme dolly look or do you prefer more natural lenses? I'm really curious about your opinion. See you next time, dreamers!

☾ Black & Lavender Outfit

Friday, September 14, 2018

Hello, dreamers! For those of you who follow me on Instagram, you might have already seen these outfit pictures that I posted a while ago. Anyway, I really wanted to post them here on my blog too. Let's take a look!

First off, I really wanted to take a new portrait picture that I can use as a profile picture and so on. This is the picture I ended up with! A lot of people on Instagram actually thought that Haku was a backpack. Poor baby! Haha~ Some people also told me that this picture reminded them of Wednesday Addams. I didn't have this in mind when I took the pictures but when it was mentioned I can definitely see why they would think so. In any case It's an huge compliment because I think Wednesday is awesome!

This is one of my favourite outfits! I found this beautiful blouse and the shorts at Dongdaemun Market here in Seoul. I've never bought anything at Dongdaemun for myself before because I usually can't find anything that suits my taste. However, I fell in love with the shorts, and the blouse especially, as soon as I saw them. I'm also wearing my super cute little doggy handbag which a friend of mine gave me when she came back to Korea after traveling. It's so adorable and I like it a lot. It's too bad that I can't use it that much because my phone, which I usually always bring with me, doesn't fit inside the bag. It's a real shame.

I also wanted to take a picture to show off my new shoes that I got in Tokyo. I've never really thought about trying to include my dogs in my photos because I thought it would be difficult to make them stay still, but while I was taking photos, Haku conveniently came and sat down next to me. I guess he didn't like the fact that I was focusing on something other than giving him attention. Haha~ Haku is mostly black so you actually couldn't see his face in the picture at all, so I put this cute little 'Kaonashi' face where his face was supposed to be. This is how it turned out! Haku is named after a character which also is in Spirited away, so I thought that was a bit of fun~

One more thing! I usually take my outfit pictures with my phone because it's a lot easier; They look good on my phone and on Instagram, but they always end up a bit grainy when I upload them on my blog where the pictures are obviously a lot bigger. So, I apologise for the bad quality. I hope you don't mind.

Anyway, I really like this outfit and I'm pretty happy with how the pictures turned out. What do you think of this outfit? Let me know in the comments!
Thank you for reading and bye for now, dreamers~

[Review] Peripera Dal Dal Factory Airy Ink Cushion #1 Ivory [리뷰] 페리페라 달달공장 에어리 잉크 쿠션 #1 아이보리

Wednesday, August 29, 2018

Hello, dreamers! In this post I'll be reviewing the Peripera Dal Dal Factory Airy Ink Cushion in #1 Ivory. Peripera is a korean Cosmetics brand, but I got my cushion at a cosmetics store in Shibuya, Tokyo. The Peripera stores are all over Seoul and you can also get this cushion online. I'll keep it short and sweet and let the pictures do most of the talking. You can also check out my video review at the bottom of this post! So anyway, let's take a closer look!

The reason why I got this in the first place is obviously because it's ridiculously adorable. I have a favourite foundation which I've used for a couple of years, so I never really felt the need to get any other foundation or BB cream, but I just had to have this as soon as I saw it.

Like I said, Peripera is a Korean Makeup brand, but as you can see everything written on the packaging is in Japanese. Which means I have no idea what it says, haha.

I got this BB cushion in #1 Ivory. This BB Cushion comes in 3 different shades - #1 Ivory, #2 Beige and #3 Sand.

The case itself is a baby blue color. The lid contains these adorable sprinkles in blue, pink, purple and white. The background is light pink with sparkly little stars.

The inside is also a baby blue, and the backside of the cushion is a light pink.

Like most BB cushions, the BB cream looks quite dark at first glance, but it turns out a lot brighter when applied on the skin.

Here's a swatch on the back of my hand. My hands and fingers always look ridiculously red on camera although they are far from it, so the shade of the BB cream looks like it wouldn't match at all.

Check out my video below where you can see what my face looks like before and after I apply the BB Cushion!

OVERALL OPINION
Like I mentioned earlier, I already have a favourite foundation called Double Lasting Foundation (in Ivory) from Etude House, so I didn't expect too much from this BB Cream when I first bought it - I literally only got it because it was cute. However, I was pleasantly surprised that this BB Cushion has amazing coverage, it doesn't get blotchy and cakey even in the hot weather we're having right now and it also has this every so slightly dewy finish which I really love. I got a bit of a tan over summer so I actually could've gone for one of the darker shades, but although this BB cream looks quite white on my skin when I frist apply it, it does blend in very well with my skin tone after a little while. It basically does all the things my favourite foundation does, so overall, I'm extremely happy with it.

Let me know what you think in the comments! Thank you so much for reading. Bye for now, dreamers!

[Review] Secret Change Hair Color Cream in Mystic Grey - 시크릿 체인지 헤어 컬러크림 미스틱그레이

Tuesday, August 14, 2018

Hello, dreamers! In this post I'm going to review the Secret Change Hair Color Cream in Mystic Grey. I've previously tried this brand's Hair Bleach and Hair Color in Ash Purple. I love grey and silver hair so when I saw this hair color I just had to try it out. Let's take a closer look!

So, first of all I got this hair dye at Olive Young here in Seoul for only a few dollars per box (around 3000-4000KRW each), which is super cheap. However, they don't contain a lot of dye so make sure to get enough boxes if you decide to try out this hair dye.

I have a problem with my hair turning too blue/green than I would like when I attempt to dye my hair grey or silver, so the fact that this hair color looks to be on the pink/purple side made me hopeful of achieving the shade of grey I desired.

One box of hair dye contains 2 packs of hair cream and 2 packs of developer, as shown in the picture above. I used 2 boxes (8 packs in total) to dye my hair. This was exactly enough to cover all of my hair, which is pretty thin & short.

Here comes the before and after. As you can see, the color turned into a really pretty grey all over my hair except on my roots where I hadn't previously bleached it.

Check out the video below to see the dying process.

Overall, I really like this hair color. It's more of a temporary dye rather than a permanent dye. The dye lasts for a couple of washes before turning into a lighter silver color. As I mentioned before, my hair easily picks up blue and green shades while having a hard time to hold onto warm tones; the tones that I want basically just run right off of my hair. However, the color turns out really pretty right after dyeing it. It's basically my ideal shade of grey for hair. Even though it faded quickly for me, I've managed to keep it a pretty nice silver color with pink & purple toners. I really recommend this hair color if you're just looking for a temporary change or if you want a good starting point to get grey/silver hair.
Thank you so much for reading! Bye for now, dreamers~
