Melodifestivalen 2013 Final

There was a lot going on this week with Melodifestivalen and all, so here's a quick overview!

Tuesday

YOHIO performed "Our Story" & "Heartbreak Hotel" and held a Signing session at Birsta City. I was standing 'Backstage', so I didn't get any good shots.

Wednesday

We arrived in Stockholm at 7am and had to get to work right away.

Besides for getting up so early, this day was pretty calm.

At the end of the day there was a reception party at Café Opera.

Thursday 

Today was pretty chill! YOHIO and the boys had some repetition on stage. Besides this, there was also a lot of press and media.

I wore my new mint wig for the first time today. I'm definitely going to wear this look again!

Friday

More repetition!

YOHIO performed "Heartbreak Hotel" and held a signing session at Solna C.

More repetition right afterwards! And of course more press and media.

Saturday - The Final

The big day! First thing in the morning, me and JENZiiH went to Solna C since they were setting up some "Hair & Makeup Stations" where students did "YOHIO"-makeovers on kids!

This was actually my very first instructing someone in Makeup, so it was a lot of fun even though it only lasted a short time.

There was a lot of practice and preparation going on everywhere once we went back to the arena. I have to admit that it was super stressful the last hour before the show was aired.


YOHIO's performance was flawless, and I actually wasn't nervous at all when they were giving out the points, even though I wasn't sure what the result would be. I was a little annoyed that they had to involve foreign judges since I really think that Sweden should decide who should go to Euriovision or not. YOHIO got the most votes from the people in Sweden, and he also won several other awards that evening. He didn't win first place in this competition, but he's still a winner in many ways. Robin is a great singer, and I personally liked his song "You" very much, so I definitely think that he deserved to win the competition too.

Everyone was still cheerful and proud of their efforts after the performance!

There was a big after party for everyone who'd been part of this year's Melodifestivalen later that evening. I'd been looking forward to it all day, so I was really excited! I came a little late, and I was actually a bit bored in the beginning, but I ended up having a lot of fun with everyone!

Sunday

Last of all, YOHIO performed "Heartbreak Hotel" live at Vällingby City at K-fem. Me and JENZiiH took the opportunity to do some shopping in the meantime! We went home with the tour bus pretty much right afterwards.

I've met incredibly nice and amazing people during this time, and I'm very thankful for this experience.

I'm sad that this is over since this whole atmosphere really grabs a hold of you, but I'm looking forward to the tour and all the performances in the future.
